Corina, Corina...you are amazing!
I have just read thru this lengthy thread and right from the start I was literally wishin' and hopin' you were gonna be a sister in Gamma Phi...I am so upset about things turned out for you Corina...the only comment I have about why Gamma Phi did not extend a bid is -- did you have any Gamma Phi recs? I am doing some now for area high school girls going thru rush at various colleges in the southeast & recs are a must! BUT enough of looking in the past -- I think you have shown such wonderful resiliency & determination in starting NBO and taking the steps to get an NPC sorority affiliation -- I think what you have done is impressive! I see great things in your future, girl! I can't wait to hear what happens next!

Hey everyone,
Once again, thank you so much for being so supportive and helpful. I am SO EXCITED about finalizing a date for meeting with AZD! We're working on planning out what everyone will do, where we're all meeting, how all of my sisters are getting up here from So Cal, etc. I discovered that a lot of people- like our new greek affairs advisor, John, I think even Marissa from AZD, etc.- have all read this entire post on here. For some reason I think that's wierd- like I think that it's not that easy to find online or something. I guess I don't have a problem with everyone knowing, although I do feel like I should be a little more careful with how I talk on this thing So far no one has had anything negative to say about it, so no worries. I really actually enjoy that I have this chronicle of what I was feeling and reacting during this entire long process. I really feel like we've accomplished so much in this period of time- which isn't even really that long, considering what we've managed to get done. So that's all for now, more later as things develop.
love, Corina
ps: yep, I'm still doing the Clinique thing, and having lots of fun with it!

Go Corina Go!
Corina -- what are we all going to do for interesting reading once NBO becomes an AXiD chapter -- your saga has been fascinating to follow and, as I said before, I think you have a great future ahead! Keep us all posted on how things go, girl!

Been following this like "Days of Our Lives"!!
OK, so it just took me like 2 days to get through this thread! It's so captivating!
I am so enormously impressed with your efforts, Corina, and those of your fellow NBO sisters. Isn't it amazing to think that less than a year ago you were rushing Gamma Phi, and now you are about to be one of the charter members of an NPC organization! It amazes me! And now I have so much more respect and awe for our charter members here at the College of Charleston (even though that was 30 years ago) and the girls at our 2 brand new chapters in this state.
There is a very good possibility that I will be starting grad school at UCSC in the fall of 2003. I have PMed with your new greek advisor and she sounds really excited and enthusiastic. She is going to be a great resource. And who knows - if you hadn't started all this, UCSC might not have even felt they needed a greek advisor!
Keep up the awesome work. Good luck with fall recruitment and the meeting with AZD. Once school starts, be sure to focus on rekindling sisterhood. The summer is sometimes a long time to be away, so I would suggest a sisterhood event very soon after you all return to Santa Cruz. And please keep us updated!! I am a total addict now!

I, too, finally just finished reading this entire thread. I think it should be required reading for every greek as an example of the true spirit of greek togetherness. Anyway, Corina, I would like to wish the best of luck to you and your NBO sisters. Any NPC organization would be crazy to not want you ladies as members. And don't worry, the drama and issues you guys have been having are perfectly normal...part of being sisters is that you can still love them even when they're driving you crazy! I'm looking forward to reading about the awesome meeting you have with AZD in 11 days!

Its noe 9:11 and I started reading this post at 7pm. I think you should sell your story to Disney and they can make a movie out of it. Im really inspired by everything you have done Corina. Some guys and myself are re-colinzing TKE on my campus so we have to go through some the same obstacles you have gone through. Good luck with everything.
Matt
AST is an awesome sorority they are on our campus.
