i heard a woman calling her three little boys,"dallas, austin, houston, come on, it is time to go."

always wondered if the family was just proud of their texas heritage, wished they were texans or the boys were named after the places they were conceived?

One of my older cousins is named Honda. But, she was born in the early '50s, before the cars ever got here. Her mother had a cousin named 'Vonda', and she just changed the first letter in the name.

I had a friend in hs named Candy Coffee.

How about a sister and brother named Reagan and Carter. I hope the parents are done having kids, because the next one will end up either Bush or Ford.

I haven't read all the posts here, so forgive me if I'm repeating...I've always been grossed out/amused by the NASCAR driver Dick Trickle's name.

ESPN's "Mike & Mike In the Morning" show reported a set of twin boys born in Florida named "Brett" and "Favre".

When I worked at the children's hospital I saw all kinds of interesting names but the one that stands out in my memory was Shithead.......pronounced Shi -thead. I had to do a double take when I called that one!

i was watching that while i was getting ready this morning *it comes on espn 2* and i was like WTF ... that's taking somebody's fandom a little too far ... i feel bad for the kid name favre not the kid named brett

they said something about all the weird celebrity names too ... apple, project inspektor, all of those ... but they said that the beckhams' kids names were weird and they're not as weird as say apple brooklyn, cruz, and something else ......

but i love mike and mike they're hilarious

I don't see this as completely devastating as a lot that I've heard!

one of my high school teachers was married to a woman named precious memory-she was called memory.
Friends of my brother named their daughter Memory. Which was fine until she developed and was absolutely HUGE on top! You can probably figure out her nickname.

I must have blanked out the name of my divorce attorney's parter: Candace Cain.

Actually, Margarita means "daisy" in Spanish. I think it's a pretty name.

I have a sister named Margarita as well. It's a popular hispanic name. However, I don't understand why I've met little girls named Alize. Or why anyone would call their baby Hennessey. Come on people. And another thing-please stop naming your children names that end in "anda" as in Shaquanda, or "iesha" as in Bonquiesha (with the exceptions of Wanda and Kiesha). There are even worse names out there. Once I overheard someone call into WEDR 99 Jamz and they told the DJ the name of her cousin's kids, they were so horribly "ghetto" . I do not remember the exact names, but they were twins and they was something along the lines of Shaboinquay or something. The DJ asked if the cousin was on crack...she said as a matter of fact she was! Also, while your little girl may be a star in your eyes, do not name her Beyonce...

I remember looking at the composites hanging in the sorority house and finding both Twinkle Starr and Dusty Fields.

Is your aunt in Birmingham, Ala? I have a friend who used to be a lab tech who swears those names came through her department as newborns.
