This was all over the news in Vancouver last night (and I am sure across Canada). I have used Renu in the past, but am currently using their sensitive eyes solution.
Any Canadian GCers using Renu don't have to worry if you purchased it in Canada. Apparently the Renu solution we use is made in Canada and has not caused any problems; however, I think it is important to be aware of these sorts of things.

Hm, am I the only one who uses Alcon Opti-Free Express? It makes my contacts feel much more comfortable than Renu did.
That said, I'm *thisclose* to getting some hot new glasses.

No, I've been using that for a while as well. I've never had a problem with it (and I wear soft contacts).

Wow, that's scary. I use Renu as well and have ever since I started wearing contacts in high school, but now I'm rethinking that. I've been using the bottle I have for several weeks now--if there was going to be a problem, would it have shown up by now, I wonder? Even so, I'm about to go get some different solution...

Bumping.
Now the CDC is saying to throw out any Complete Moisture Plus Multi-Purpose Solution due to cases of acanthamoeba keratitis.
Here's the story: http://www.ajc.com/news/content/shar...Infection.html

I used it when I first got contacts. I've changed a few times (usually based on whatever samples the doctor gives me). Now I'm using AQuify, which is by CIBA. It's pretty decent as well.

I use this also. I think I'm wearing my glasses again too.

Wow...if it's not one product it's another. I stopped using Renu when I first heard of this, but I did use it regularly. I wear my glasses more often now.

I saw this on GMA as well. I've been using Opti-Free since the first breakout (because I use to use Complete Moisture) so I hope I'm still ok.
BTW - has anyone heard from P-n-C? I hope she is doing ok.
