Ouch, KTSnake! I truly was trying to keep this lighthearted. I never knew any classless barbarians at my alma mater. Maybe things have changed. Anyway, end of hijack.

As for who is more "obnoxious"...

As a fan of the orange and black going to Norman, I'd feel fine. Perfectly safe. I wouldn't have to worry about what would happen to my car or anything like that if it had OSU stickers, etc. on it.

However, I've known many people who had their vehicles defaced, cars keyed, etc. when going to Stillwater. The people up there are classless clowns to steal a line from the A&M sports department (describing Tech) compared to those found in Norman.

I have every reason to believe that OU can absolutely destroy the Pokes. Well, I might make the trip to Stillwater (will probably have to buy some cheap OSU merchandise to leave in a conspicuous part of my car just to make sure it's not vandalized). I'm certain there'll be tickets available at the gate as usual.
You seriously don't know anything about OSU.

Especially when you mention the stadium being 40k its bigger than that and was even when i was there before the expansion project even started. About it being empty i think The OKlahoma Memorial Stadium would being seeing many empty seats if the team had no success for so long. So OSU is expanding cause well the program is on the rise and can filled the stadium. Sure OU has the better team and may very well win this years Bedlam but don't ever count a team out cause the series recently is pretty even or on the side of OSU. Vandalism happens everywhere so don't just put it on to OSU fans and no OU fans aren't saints i go there and can tell you we are asses to opponents like everyone else.

Last year, during Oklahoma State's best season since 1988, their average attendance was 44,872. The stadium capacity was 47,500. It is now 50,164 and will be about 52,500 or so when the current renovations are completed.

This year has been better, but not by much.

Attendance has been 46,521 vs. SMU, 47,307 vs. Tulsa, and 47,544 vs. Iowa State. That still leaves between 3-4K empty seats each time.

There's really no comparison in the type of fan support enjoyed in Norman. You can make all the excuses you want, but that's just the case.

Yeah, vandalism does happen everywhere. It just seems to be a whole lot more common up in Stillwater than Norman.

As for lacks of attendance, yeah, in 1996 and 1997, the 3-8 and 4-8 seasons, OU's attendance would drop as low as 61K. 61K is about as low as it seems to have been though according to soonerstats.com. Still, by the numbers, the lowest amount of support OU has ever had is still better than the highest a few miles north.

Anyhow, that being said, the series is even over the last 10 years. 5-5 in fact. The series history is 75-16-7 though

I actually look for it to be a decent game. But after this weekend watching the Sooners completely shut down Texas' attack which is basically a more talented version of what OSU has, I'm positive as to the outcome of this game barring any major fluke.

(Hijack continued...) Yes, OSU (my beloved alma mater) SUCKED against Texas A & M, but, yes, it was sold out!

Yes, congrats on the sellout

Now if State could get a QB that could pass. Then we'd be talking Maybe Reid's shoulder will heal up soon?

I'm being a bit negative about OSU. I really do like the place. Our chapter up at Stillwater has been very gracious and helpful to us in our early days and I'm proud of what they've accomplished there.
