The morning after pill is way different than ru-486, the morning after pill only prevents ovulation and if you are already pregnant, it won't help, while ru-486, which "Holly" took, is a controversial drug induced abortion pill. Typically ru-486 is taken under supervison of a doctor, but "Holly" had gone to a planned parenthood type of place, and they don't exactly have the time and money for the follow-up.
I think the morning after pill should be an over the counter pill, imagine if you had a condom break on Friday night and you can't see your doctor until monday? Every hour that goes by lessens the chances of the morning after pill working...
ETA: Sorry, I missed some posts on the clarification between the morning after pill and ru-486...
Plus, having taken a morning after pill regimine once, I can say that I
never want to do it again... I did get way sick, and luckily my doctor prescribed me anti-nausea medicine to take too.
I don't particualrly feel that it will increase promiscuity, because there is a cost inhibitor, and it's still not entirely convenient.
