I have decided I will use a flower theme when I describe my rush. It will in no way shape or form intentionally be the sororities flower. I have looked at some of the insignia before but I do not really remember what all the flowers are. Also, that would not be as much fun, would it? I am not totally sure what flowers I will be using. I guess I will figure that out after the first day.

The days are just not flying by like I want them to. Today I watched 4 movies, just hoping to past the time by. On a productive note, most of my stuff is packed up. I really only have my electronic stuff and my laundry. I really can't wait to be on the road to UCF. I really miss the place. I miss my friends. I really can't wait until Tuesday night, where I get to meet my Rho Gamma and the group. Ahh!! Let's hope tomorrow time flys!

Ok, I have a question that I have no clue why I didn't think of it before. It has to do with cuts. Do you find out who cuts you first before you make the decision on who you are cutting? Example.. at my school we have 10 sororities. On the second day you are only allowed to go to 7 houses. Say that I cut 3 houses. Then I find out that 3 other houses cut me, but not the ones that I cut. That would only leave me with 4 houses. I am assuming that I will find out where I am cut before I make cuts. I mean, it would only be logical right?

At UCF, it will work this way. At round 1, you will go to all of the houses. Early the next morning, several hours before the parties begin, you will meet with your Recruitment Counselor and PNM group, and you will receive a print out and a scan-tron. The print out will reveal which houses you are invited back to, and you may choose which ones you would like to go back to or which ones you would like to cut (you must choose up to the max number of houses-- that is, if there are 4 parties and 6 houses have invited you back, you can't opt to go to only 2 parties. You must choose 4). You will do this each day, all the way down to the morning of Prefs. Your counselor will explain this in more detail at Greek Forum and be an objective sounding board for you each step of the way through recruitment!

Fun Fact: One year (the year I went through recruitment!), instead of doing it this way, the PNM's ranked the houses in the order of their interest at the end of each day. The next morning, the PNM preferences would be cross-referenced with the sorority party invites, and you were invited back based on your matches. I like the new way better because you get to see ALL the houses who invited you back!

Big thank yous go out to everyone. Thanks for being so helpful. There is always one moment during the day where I freak out, but then I come to GC, and everything is ok. Thanks!!!

Haha.. it's ok. I would be the same way. I wish there were others on here so I could see how they are dealing with everything.

I must now pack up my computer. So sad. If I get a chance to, I will go on my Dad's computer and look to see how everyone is doing. Good luck to everyone out there! This time tomorrow, the fun begins for me! YAY!

Just to let everyone know I am on my Dad's computer. I just can't get enough of GC. I really should be in bed right now, but I can't sleep. I can't wait to wake up in the morning and hit the road. The only part of the day I am not looking forward to is unpacking my car. UGH! I hope that there are people around willing to help me. They had some people last year.. but technically this is not really move in day. After I get it all unpacked, I will be getting ready to go to Greek Forum. I finally get to meet my Rho Gamma and my PNM group. YAY!! I know that I will definitely not be able to sleep tomorrow night because I will be too excited about getting up and starting rush! So hopefully I will get some sleep tonight to make up for the lack of sleep I will be having the rest of the week.

Something else to pump you up: UCF's Greek System is incredibly diverse and supportive of one another. Some of my best friends are in my sorority and still many are not-- they are in the other UCF chapters! We share the bond of being Panhellenic sisters and my life wouldn't be the same without them! Now that we're all graduated and scattered throughout the country, you'd think we were all still suitemates and next-door neighbors b/c we talk on the phone, Email and IM 24/7. I have an ADPi Reuinion in Tampa over Labor Day, a DDD wedding I will be a bridesmaid in this Dec (along with a Chi-O and a KD!) and a Christmas-time Greek Get-together where all of our guy and girl friends will re-convene in Orlando to reminsce and celebrate good times together! The fun doesn't stop after college!

Within the chapters, there is a mix of backgrounds, skin types, religions, hair colors, interests and talents, you name it! Every chapter has athletes, scholars, singer/dancers, leaders and loyal smiling sisters who can't wait to greet their new member classes on Bid Day!

UCF is so special, wonderful and unique: you're going to love our Panhellenic recruitment!
