Regarding having two letters as opposed to three......

When I first started learning about sororities, I thought only having two letters meant that you were a "junior" sorority or something. Hee!

My very first sorority encounters were on college visit day at Bradley, with some Chi Os and KDs. I thought 3 letter sororities were weird after that...it was funny, a GPhiB and a an Alpha Chi walked into to the room and my friend and I both said "Why do they think they need three letters?"

ha ha!! Don't forget that there is also alpha Kappa Delta Phi (with 4 lettters!!) They're non NPC. I think the alpha is a lower case alpha (sort of a loop, lying on its side).

Haven't you noticed this thread was meant to be fun, including the concept of no bashing other orgs? In other posts by other GCers there isn't -any- other bashing, except for yours. Be nice please

Oh don't worry, I love all the other Phi Mu's! Come to think of it, we're going to send a letter to your HQ hopefully soon about maybe colonizing here.

Yes it is! Luckily y'all have so many sweet girls that we can overlook the crazies. I love Phi Mu, it has such a rich history.

and I am such a huge Gamma Phi Beta fan! I even ran into one of your sisters at the dog park here in Richmond... I wanted so bad to run up to her and say, "You're a GPB?! That's GREAT!!" but stopped myself, because...... well......... you know. I'm not a sister, and I don't really know what the poor girl would have been able to say after I ENTHUSIASTICALLY voiced my approval!

Oh I'm that weird. I was at the Marquette Alpha Phi house studying with my friend (a non-Phi who lives there) and a bunch of the sisters came home and I burst out "I'm a Gamma Phi Beta from Platteville and I just wanted to let y'all know that I think Alpha Phi is great!" They were kind of taken aback but thought it was cute, and they were also impressed at my Phi/fee knowledge.

Nope, I think it's a lot of people. It's weird too, I'll see a girl wearing letters from an under-represented GLO in Wisconsin and I'll want to say "You're a Phi Mu? That's great, where at?" It's really fun to go to the malls around here, a lot of people wear letters now. I was at GAP a couple months ago and a women who was maybe 30 or so was wearing an ADPi Advisory Board (something like that) fleece and she saw my lavalier as we were waiting in line and asked me where I was a Gamma Phi.

Heh, you just reminded me of something...lol..

Everytime I'm up in Athens (I have to go there about 1-2 times a week, it's only 45 min's away if you drive slow )I'm tempted to go to the Phi Mu house and start asking, "Are you OUlioness01?, How about you?" etc..
