Honestly, I've never really liked diamonds all that much. For something that's supposedly so spectacular and expensive, they're... clear. I've just always thought that was kind of anticlimactic or something.
That reminds me of Anne of Green Gables, when she was so disappointed to find out what a diamond was.

I just read that book for the first time about a year ago, and I thought that was really cool because nobody ever agrees with me on this!
I found way too much of me in Anne... right down to always pointing out to people that my middle name is "Anne with an e."
