i am amazed at how awesome and close together the greek row's are at some of your schools (especially maryland - that looks awesome) our houses are sooooo spread out here - my house is in the middle of nowhere, haha

up at the top right hand corner is the only thing close to a "greek row" and there is only6 houses there - two fo them do sit on the river though - very awesome - and in the top left really its more of a greek circle. my house, dz, as you can see down at the bottom of the picture, is what seems like 10 miles away from all that - but we are near theta, zta, a-phi, and dg... here, the sororities seems to be all very off campus (with the exception of tri-delt, gphib, and axid) and the fraternity houses get lucky and have the easy walk to campus... so not fair...

Indiana University has the prettiest Greek Row in the state! It makes me jealous because at Ball State we dont have sorority houses so I go to IU and dream about living in one of theirs! And talking about the worst excuse for a "Greek row" is my school. Ball States like 13 fraternity houses are just sick looking compared to some of the other houses I have seen! Like Wabash College. LAMBDA CHI ALPHA IS THE BEST HOUSE THERE! haha.

Just because it is clean

San Diego State does their Frat houses differently. This next year we're moving into a new Fraternity Row, but it will be quite different.

First off, Sigma Chi and SAE have houses big enough to hold more than 40 guys, and those are the only houses out of 14 IFC frats that can do that. Everyone else had houses that only had 7 bedrooms or so with a big party room. PLus, they were spread out all over campus.

The new row will be a LOT different than many schools'. It will be 8 houses on the lot (Delta Sig, Sammy, Phi Kap, Phi Psi, Sigma Nu, ZBT, AEPi and KA), which will also only hold maybe 6 or 7 people. The catch here is that in between two rows of four houses will be an apartment building , each house given eight apartments to house whoever they want (non greeks can stay there if the house wants).

It will be a new era in SDSU Greek Life, and it'll benefit many people.

Only thing is they're planning on building a new sorotiy row too.......ALL THE WAY ACROSS CAMPUS ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE SCHOOL WHERE THE ROW IS!

Re: Addition

I could swear, that Sigma Pi was next to Beta.....at least I think they were there when I came to VEISHA days back in 1997???

Also, way on the upper right part of the map, is that Alpha Xi Delta or Alpha Sigma Alpha? I didn't think AXiD had a chapter in IA other than UI??

Thanks!

Yup. You're right.
Couple changes occured. Sigma Pi moved to their new house back in 1999, I believe. The new chartered Pi Kappa Alpha took old Sigma Pi house.
And we lost Phi Kappa Tau, Phi Kappa Psi and Delta Chi, 1999-2001.
We've been having Alpha Xi Delta since ever, I think, because their house was built in the 1960s.

I think it's ASA; that's us closer in, next to Alpha Chi Omega. We also have chapters at Iowa Wesleyan (our Beta chapter), Iowa State, and U Northern Iowa.

Greek Row

Well, I have an opnion on the "prettiest" greek row...Its at Middle Tennessee State University...It is frat row and it is AWESOME! Each house is so different and unique...it really takes your breath away when you see it! I wish I had a link, but alas, I do not!

ZTAngel, you're right about the UCF "Greek Park" (that's what someone told me it's called)...the houses are gorgeous! The Tri-Delt house was awesome, the Sigma Chi house is amazing (that's the huge white one at the end, right?)

But it's really spreadout. I know you don't want to be too cramped, but who needs all that space? Anyway, it's cool that the fraternities and sororities are all in the same area...easier to walk home after a good party (at UF my house is currently the only sorority house in frat row and I must honestly say it's a godsend. When you're having an off night, all you have to do is walk a bit and chill at your own house.)

I saw the FSU houses a couple of weeks ago and was very impressed with the houses, including the DZ house and the Pi Phi house (I wish I could have dropped by but it was like 3 in the morning!). Maybe we'll be able to fit in a tour of the house during the UF-FSU game weekend.

I love UF's houses...and the way they're set up on campus.

Nope. It is Alpha Xi Delta. We're talking about Iowa State University here

Phi Mu Alpha House

Our chapter at Illinois Wesleyan University has a really cool house. It was donated by a brother who was a dentist during the beginning of the last century. It has a cool basement and is actually located two houses away from the SAI house.
