I hope the people that say this are from CA or have lived there for some time, if not they are some posers!

Just take of the "doe" and respond as normal.

I guess the same things as the last time. I hate the word "boo" that's for damn sure. That's dumb as hell.

I also don't like to be introduced as "this is my "boyfriend".... I'm out of highschool, and that (to me) just sounds young and childish. I never refer to her or introduce her as my girlfriend. That's just silly.

I sometimes refer to my...well, boyfriend as my boyfriend in casual conversation, but I would definitely feel much younger than I am were I to introduce him as "my boyfriend". I introduce him as "Steve". They can figure it out.

And I mostly use "boyfriend" because he told me to stop saying "that guy I date". He said people would think I forgot his name.

Thank you! This is one of my biggest gripes about relationships. Some people feel they HAVE to have titles. Titles, to me, are for people outside of the relationship and I'm not letting those people determine what my relation ship with whatever young lady is.

Yess. Even saying that phrase brings up a little vomit.

The "cheap" store near my house is $6.50. The "regular" stores are ~$7.

One of the posters in Chicago told me she's paying $9+/pack. I'll be damned...
A. Sign me up for the care package.
B. It was me who pays ~$9.00/pack

I keep saying, "When they reach $_____ I'll quit." But seriously, if I have to pay $9, I really will.
I paid over $10 for a pack last Friday at the 7-11 by my work. You best believe I'm hoofing it to the Walgreens down the street (probably 3 blocks away) from now on - that was ridiculous.

...$12 is incentive to quit. That would be the point when Nicorette and I become close friends.
I used to say that when I lived in Pittsburgh and it was $4.00 a pack. It's still pretty cheap there, about $5.00. I have a friend who does send me care packages from time to time.

I've cut back (from 1/2 pack per day to 1/4) and I'm glad for that but I'm still not ready to quit. Oh well, I guess the City of Chicago, Cook County, and the State of Illinois will continue to get more of my tax dollars. At this point, I figure I've got myself a nice stretch of pavement I paid to resurface on 90/94.

If Nicorette works (by the way, it's about $32 a pack for the patches), it's a higher short term cost but a lower long-term cost (in terms of health and wealth). At least that's their angle.

Also, I tried to post this response last night, but the power was out.

I hate when my boss starts sentences with "Dude" but I think that's mostly because she's trying to look "young" or "hip."

More like "broken hip."

My SO bought Nicorette last week...whether or not he will actually cut down on cigarettes remains to be determined, but I told him if he does I'll buy it too so we can quit at the same time. I did the math so that he would shut up about how much the box of gum costs and it's definitely way less than he spends on cigs in a week.

I say dude because a) I am still young and b) I apparently have very little control over my mouth.

Yea, I know it was you. I didn't know if you wanted your habit thrown out here with the rest of ours lol

My FB newsfeed just reminded me of another one: No Homo. I hate that phrase so much, especially when it's used on "non-gay" (for lack of a better term) statements.

Hey, bro, I heard you were sick. I hope you're feeling better. No homo.

What?
