True dat! I'm glad one of "us" made it all the way since so many others were bumped off for reasons unrelated to their talent.

Yeah heard that one too, but I think it was something to keep them both on their toes, because they were like 1300 and something votes apart.........

Regarding Ruben, I echo all of the comments above. But can we talk about Rickey for a minute? How it is that a man I never met and never hope to meet can annoy me so much? No, seriously y'all. I despise this man. And all that happy-happy, bouncy-bouncy BS just made me even more ill. I just pray that I NEVER have to see him again.

So you are not going to the American Idol 2 concert? He was going to dedicate a song to you.

I don't know if K-LO was the best BUT I find the double standard offensive.

Playing Devil's Advocate
Okay, now I must admit that I did not watch the show all season. And, let me state that I am very glad that Ruben won. BUT, I am sorry, I was not impressed with his singing last night. Was it that he was hoarse or something or tired?
CT4, the woman who sang with them, was that the K-Lo you wanted to win? If so, then I would agrree with you.

I did not watch the show @ all last night. I had a Music Choice Party while I typed. But if she was light-skinned with either straight or curly hair and a voluptuous build, yes that is her.

A friend called me last night after the announcement. I did not watch the dang show because I found Law and Order to far better entertainment. After she screamed in my ear, I asked her what's the big deal? Can the young man sing, sure. Were the judges easy on him (no personal attacks or image critiques) yep.

Oh, the horror. I think I would try to fight Rickey if he even looked like he wanted to acknowledge that I was alive. Yeah, I'm on my way to seek forgiveness for hating a man I don't even know.

Try living in the same city as Rickey....his face, voice are all over the place.........on the radio, in the paper, on TV! ARGGHH!!
His voice does remind me of Phillip Bailey's though.

Are you saying that the judges were easy on Ruben or Clay? Asking, 'cause I'm lost. I thought they critique both of those two, but I will admit that I didn't want EVERY show.
