yep that definitely means KK wins

No, but with Krispy Kreme even non-diabetics go into a bout of ketoacidosis from the fact that it is pure sugar and not any dough.
Also, it is not in KK's favor that they have to be eaten hot.

Was just reminded of another reason why I don't like DD -- Rachel Ray is their spokesperson. I find her grating.

So I bought some DD munchkins today. They were extremely hard and stale.
Really? I wish the KK was closer to my house, but we only have one and its on the outskirts of town. Maybe i'll get some tomorrow. mmmmm

Krispy Kreme donuts are nasty. The only thing I do like about them though is the fact that the Cs are replaced with Ks.
I voted for Dunkin' Donuts.

Wierdo.

I was driving around last night and was tortured by seeing 4 DDs about 5 minutes from one another. There's only one KK and it's about 10 minutes away and has the oven and glass window thingie. It made me think of this thread and wonder why there's only one KK. Then I remembered that we only need one KK. All of those DDs are because DD has to try so hard---and they need to be located in commuter areas so people can get coffee and breakfast sandwiches--not donuts.

Hey Kevin, can we get another poll started? This one is boring. Can you start one called Chitlins, Collard Greens and fatback, or other?

Primanti Bros? Been there, good stuff.
For what it's worth, I've been to some delis in this part of the country that serve sandwiches like that. They are good.......just not really my thing. I'd rather have at least the fries on the side.

While I like KK donuts, I actually prefer the mom and pop type stores. I'd rather keep a small family run business going than a chain....plus, all the KKs around here disappeared.

AOII gets a pass for such a rational vote for "other."
Down with big business and up with mom and pop stores.
(I'll pretend that KK is a mom and pop store when it suits me. )

Now if only Tim's ever makes an appearance in the Lone Star State...
'Creepy Cream' - ahem, Krispy Kreme - best if ya get 'em hot from the store.
'Drunken Blownuts' - ahem, Dunkin' Donuts - slowly making a reappearance in North Texas. You can get packages of the coffee here.
And in the Lone Star State... it's Shipley Do-Nuts. They're the 'official' donut supplier to the Mission Operations Control Room (MOCR) at Johnson Space Center. There's one practically across the street from them.
