I totally agree on this one CRMSNTiDE. I liked what Malik's friend said to Coral. He and Malik are the kind of individuals that people should aspire to be like. It's understandable to be offened by what Mike said, but explain it to him...eye rolling and ignoring are only going to further his stereotypes.

I only saw about 5 minutes of the first episode, but I thought Coral blew the thing with that guy way out of proportion. I don't think he meant it the way she took it.

OK - first, I have to admit I'm a RR adict at the age of 35. OK, I said it!
Second - I think it's easy to come down on either Mike or Coral, but if you take a step back I think the real deal is:
Mike has been sheltered and is ignorant of the life that Coral/Malik has lived as a black woman/man.
Coral is pretty worldly, but she too is ignorant of Mike's life. She is obviously tired of the "unacceptable" comments, behavior that ignorance like Mike's has shown her in her life. Being white, I can't begin to understand that feeling, but I can imagine it's very painful.
BUT - Mike seems to recognize his ignorance, and I hope Coral will realize hers. Both suffer from mecentrism (my word - kind of an "it's all about me and the way my life has gone" mentality), which we are ALL guilty of. I REALLY like Malik, and think he will be the one to build a very meaningful bridge in Mike's life. Malik is clearly very bright, slow to anger, and forgiving - pretty awesome combination. Plus he has wicked hair man!
My $.02

First off I admire Coral sometimes for being so self confident with herself because its great to be proud of who and what you are. Although, she needs to get off her high horse as they say. People arent perfect, and i think she even said that, but its kind of like she will never forgive Mike for that comment he made at breakfast. I think Malik's friend told Coral off that one time they were all talking, and you saw how he just left her without saying anything. I bet in the back of her mind she knew he was right but wouldnt admit it. Mike i think is very sheltered, but you can tell he is trying and willing to learn. Malik is just awesome, i love that guy, he is just always so calm and peaceful-like
Does anyone know what school Mike goes to? I have a friend in Theta Chi at MSU and i remember him telling me that one year they had a rush t-shirt that was like a baseball jersey, and Mike was wearing a rush tshirt like that i believe!

I was so ready to jump in the TV and strangle that stupid Coral...arrrggghhh!!! I don't care what you say about people in private, that was out of line for her to embarrass/insult him and his guests.

anybody catch tonights episode of road rules? the cute guy (sorry, can't remember his name ) was wearing Chi Phi letters
The episode was pretty good, i thought - Jisela is getting on my nerves though... she seems very bossy and unwilling to let others help or support her - if they have to vote someone off next week i think it will be her.

I am so glad the "powers that be" are having the cast mates work in rock/metal music because the obvious scenario would have been pop/r&b/hip hop. Also, it's Mike's chance not to be the "red headed stepchild" of the group since he'll be the most reliant one at work.

Adam was the one wearing Chi Phi letters, if I'm not mistaken. Ya know, I'm not sure I'd want someone like him representing my org on national television. The way he acts when he doesn't take his medicine is nothing less than embarrassing. He's cool as long as he takes his medicine though
As far as Jisela goes, that girl needs to keep her attitude in check. I have a feeling that nobody but Sophia will have any problem with voting her off, when it does come down to voting someone off.

I agree, it would be too easy for Lori, etc to work in pop, etc. Should be interesting.

I'm glad that they're working with rock music too. Mike finally has the chance to be the smart one. I used to not like him, but now I'm on his side. I can't stand how Coral treats him--could she be any more immature? It's riddiculous that she has to break him down in order to feel superior. I'm not too keen on Rachel or Nicole either.
About RR, I'm thinking that one of the girls, probably Jisela, will be getting kicked off. I got my American Eagle catalog in the mail the other day and it showed the cast of RR modeling the clothes. American Eagle sponsored the show--which explains why someone is always wearing an AE shirt. Anyways, along with the current cast there was another girl, Katie (she was one of the rejects from the casting special). So she'll probably replace one the current girls.
