Since receiving letters from the National President and Historian, I have never heard another word from Phi Mu. I had no idea there had been any notice of my donation written in the Aglaia. No copies were ever sent to me. I would love to read the article and send a copy to my aunt, who gave me the pin. Would it be possible for someone to look into this for me?

So my daughter dated this guy who lies about pretty much everything. Anyway, he said he pledged Sigma Chi last semester at an out-of-state university which I later discovered (from several very reliable sources) he never even attended. He went to a community college. He's back in-state this semester. The scary thing is he wears a Sigma Chi rush shirt from this university. Don't know where the heck he got it. He creeps me out.
I've noticed from reading this thread that Sigma Chi has a lot of wannabes!

Every now and then the badge would disappear, sometimes for weeks at a time, then show again in the most random places.
I hope that if I'm ever in the Macon area I would be welcomed to the museum and could see the badge on display.

This is really nice to hear and I am sure very appreciated by the Sisters of Phi Mu.
I would guess, that you would always be welcome at the Phi Mu IHQ!
OLD HISTORY is important to each of our GLO's!

yeah I have no idea why anybody would want to impersonate a greek unless they were trying to get into a party or wanted to be "cool".....which is funny because it's sooooo not cool to be greek in California....maybe in the South though.
As for Sigma Nu, we have a few ways to figure out frauds....database, grip, call and answers, cards, etc

Why? What's up with California?

I don't know if it's really California or just all the people I've been around but I think I'm the only guy from my high school class (2001) that pledged and it just seems like greeks have horribly negative stereotypes. I talk to Southerners and they act like greek is THE thing to be whereas here it's like "oh...you're a snobby date rapist...great".

Pink Flamingo, thank you very much for sending me a copy of the article about my great-great-great aunt's Philomathean badge written in the Phi Mu Aglaia magazine. I was surprised and delighted to read the full page article about the history of the badge and its importance to Phi Mu. Thank you for locating the issue and sending me a copy. I truely appreciate your time and will treasure the article. Once again, thank you!
