Isn't there some ground between blowing sunshine up it and kicking it?

I don't think you have to blow sunshine, and yet, I don't think we need to tell people that they shouldn't want to know what they are asking or make fun of them for asking either.

You may not care who has the most members. You may not think it should matter. I tend to agree. But people pick their greek groups for a lot of crazy reasons. Why not have a live and let live attitude with questions you think are stupid and a helpful and affirming attitude with questions you think are worth answering?

Maybe we could open a "snark attack" thread for people who enjoy setting the misguided straight, on which sassy attitudes would be encouraged, and questions that some considered to be stupid could be reposted and made fun off.

And then other threads could be for people with genuine questions that we'd sincerely try to answer.

Just a thought. Flame away.

Yes. It's called just answering the question without any extras.

That happens sometimes on GC but if that always happened then this would be as boring as a CNN.com messageboard.

Or maybe people could stop being so sensitive.

If Girl Scouts are a sorority, I'm going to have to change my screen name. I don't think anyone could succesfully carry the argument that Girl Scouting is a sorority... sorority means a lot more than a club of women.

I also wanted to chime in that there is no way of knowing who has the most living members at any one point. Deaths are not necessarily reported back to the IHQ.
Does "most initiated members" not include deceased members? I would think that the number of initiated members means total individuals who have gone through the initation ceremony and been official members of the sorority at one point in time, no matter their affiliation (collegiate/alumni/honorary) or involvement after the ceremony. I can't see how that number would be difficult for the IHQ of any group to come up with.

Best of luck in your rush experience!
That's pretty impressive!!!

Now, I want a letter from our EO telling me how many we've initiated since 1851. LOL.

Now, I'm curious about my own chapter. LOL.

I know that the NPC website says something like 1.5 million women have been initiated, but I don't think that numbers been updated for a while. I should go check out the NPC website. hmm.
