Is there some reason why you can't get an account if you don't belong to any of the listed schools? I can't even view other people's facebooks. My school deperately needs something like this.

You must have an email address containing your school name from one of the schools that are listed. Plus, when you are on facebook the only profiles you can view are the ones from your school unless you add someone as a friend and then they confirm. Then and only then can you see someone who is not from your schools complete profile.

actually, that's not true, depending on a person's privacy settings, if they don't set it to where you can't look at it unless you're at their school then you can look at their profile.

my trick is you click on "add as friend" then it'll have a confirmation page which has their name as a link, and if their privacy setting allows, you can view their profile from there. if they have their privacy set too high you just get linked back to your homepage.

It reminds me of 'seven degrees of Kevin Bacon'...

Plus all the friends I have on facebook are the same damn people I see every day in class, at my house, or at the bars.

A group needs to be started bitching about the 5000 or so stairs from beechurst to the top of the hill Belmar. Those really suck.

I would never walk up all those stairs I wold make someone drive me. I hated riding the PRT and walking up to Woodburn. I had to stop for a break.

SJSU might be like SDSU...you just have to go to great lengths to get a schoo email account. (You have to do this weird thing on your computer and put it on the school's network, and then physically go to the library to sign this contract about terms of use...) It took me forever to figure out how to do it.
Which means that not a whole lot of people at SDSU even have the facebook...
