I will also wear sandals in the snow. If I'm going out for a smoke break, I don't want to have to put on my boots, so I'll just slide a pair of sandals on.

Why would anyone be proud not to have cancer when other people have it?

I'm not sure if you meant to be funny, but it really isn't.

No, I wasn't being funny at all. She was talking about how liberating it was to not care what others thought of her white legs. I give her a lot of credit. Tanning is seriously dangerous and she should be proud that she's beyond risking her health to look good.

My friend turned 21 last week. We took her out for dinner and drinks Friday night. One of the girls had on a polo shirt, a flowered skirt, cardigan, and not Tevas but Chacos, very similar. The other girls decided she is not allowed to dress herself and I need to approve her for all public outings. She looked like a Greenpeace secretary or something. I will not comment on the lack of pedicure. She spent the last year overseas in an underdeveloped country, so we're giving her some slack.

I own a pair of Tevas as I worked at a summer camp and they were actually quite useful for being down on the river. I also live in a great rafting area. However I don't wear them for anything but the intended purpose. That's like wearing golf shoes with spikes to ballroom dance, inappropriate.

Did your pastor have on socks with the Tevas? A local pastor here was wearing some crazy neon polar fleece socks with Birkenstocks one day. Since they wear robes, and can wear whatever underneath, some nondistracting footwear would be nice.

Otherwise he was dressed pretty nicely. Khaki pants and a pale blue shirt. No socks in sight. I would have laughed a little more out loud had there been socks tho I'm sure.
I own a pair of Tevas as well but keep them only for summer hiking and such.

Living in FL I wear sandals almost year round I hate wearing socks and closed toed shoes. My two can't live without foot care products right now are, My Mary Kay exfoliating foot scrub and my rimmel 60 second nail polish, I just don't have the time to wait for regualr polish to dry and this stuff sets quick.

I get to dress casually at work for the rest of the summer, which means I now get to wear flip flops. I am very excited!!!

But today it's cold and raining.

I have Old Navy flip flops. I love those because the are so inexpensive. I could buy 10 pairs of those for a price of tennis shoes. I have two of them, one that is light blue and one that have sttars and stripes. I have a black one with blue stripes on the instep straps from Payless. I have one that is white from American Eagle. And my fifth pair is a green, blue and white striped flip flops.

Say it ain't so...
I saw these on Amazon.com. Urban Outfitters is selling them for a little over $10 I believe.
