'sup O-Ape,
I would define a thug as the following:
-one for whom I'm constantly bailing out of jail
-one for whom I've spent more time looking at him through bulletproof glass
-one for whom I would not leave in my house by 'hisself' for fear my chit would get gone
-one for whom I couldn't be the headstrong person I am for fear I'd get an Ike Turner ass whoopin
-one for whom I'd cringe when I introduced him to any of business associates we may accidentally run into
To me, that's a 'thug'. What ya have to be able to differentiate within the man's character is whether being a 'thug' is a lifestyle. I'm sure there are women out there who seek out thugs and that's the only kind of guy she wants. But, I think the majority of us just want a good, strong man!I think that most women want to feel secure with their man and want to feel that he can handle his own. I also believe that women want men who are agressive and can be a positive force in their life. A strong shoulder to cry on... A strong back to make them remember why God made them woman...

These qualities are ironically the foundations for a 'thug'. So again it's all in discernment.
BTW Original, I've changed my username from 'jazbri' to sistarisin...
