(Dec. 9, 2003) Miracles Still Do Happen: I recently interviewed singing sensation Tamia for an upcoming cover story for Smooth magazine. During the interview, the lovely singer revealed to me why her junior album “Still” was pushed back from its original release date in August 2003. “I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis,” admitted Tamia. I knew Tamia’s album had been pushed back due to an undisclosed illness, but I didn’t know it was multiple sclerosis.

I am happy to hear that she is better. I had no idea that she was going through this. I though the label was just hating on her.

Found Love: In case you hadn’t heard, Alicia Keys has a boyfriend. According to the New York Daily News, the New York-bred Clive Davis protégé is apparently dating her longtime producer Kerry Brothers. At the recent launch party for her second album, "The Diary of Alicia Keys," the couple’s canoodling apparently left little doubt of their affection for one another. Alicia stayed at her beau’s side the entire evening, as singers including Patti LaBelle and Jill Scott stopped through to show some love. Look for Alicia’s sophomore album to debut at number one this week, with early estimates looking as though she’ll sell more than 600,000 units.

Is he the heavy-set guy that was at the Grammys with her the other year? Who is this guy? Have we seen him? Hopefully this will put those "lesbian" rumors to rest....

Things That Make You Say Hmmm!?!: "I've always been a big dinosaur fan. You read about them in school, but you never really see any of them like that," said singer Marques Houston in Vibe’s December issue. Though Marques may not sound like the brightest guy after reading this quote, don’t sleep on his debut solo set “MH.” The album, which was released on Oct. 21, is surprisingly great!

Didn't someone post in the Music thread that they liked this disc? I may have to get a copy. Who would have thought...?

~ Singer Lil’ Mo was victim of a robbery on Thanksgiving Day. The pint-sized vocal powerhouse’s Maryland home was robbed on Turkey Day, and nearly $100,000 in cash and $100,000 in jewelry was stolen from the singer’s safe. Nothing else in the house was touched, which makes it seem as though someone close to the singer may have been the culprit. Police are investigating.
Is she the "jack" magnet? Someone is always jacking her out of her stuff. Didn't she get robbed last year? And didn't she get snuck with a bottle the year before? (Or was that all the same incident?) She needs to watch the people that are aroud her because these incidents are too frequent and ironic....

I think that's Diezel. (WHERE did she get that name from?) Are she and Keri still married? Last I heard they were on the brink of divorce b/c of her spending habits..

Whitney got hit!

Via EUR:

At EUR press
time, authorities were considering whether
to pursue charges against Bobby Brown after
officers responded to a domestic abuse call by
his wife Whitney Houston at their home in the
Atlanta suburb of Alpharetta.

Fulton County Police spokesman Kurtis
Young said that when police arrived at the
couple's home Sunday evening, Houston
was observed to have a cut upper lip and
a bruised cheek.

Houston told officers that Brown hit
her in the face during an argument.

Young said that by the time officers
arrived at the home, Brown had left for
the airport to catch a flight to California.

Like police, we wonder what Bobby has
to say about this. So far, no one has been
arrested in the incident.

I saw that movie. I liked the Denham character too, but why are you naming your black child after this white cockney guy??????

That is ridiculous. RI-DAMN-DICULOUS.

Better than Diezel though. I won't even get STARTED on that one!
