It's amazing how different preferences are by region. All the southern belles I know totally swoon over Ace. But my yankee women don't care too much for him.

I'm ambivalent, honestly. Raised in Chicago and living in Arizona gives me a bit of flavor from everywhere.

Ace is just a slightly nicer version of the type of guys I went to high school with, though I do like that he issued an official apology to France.

I just don't find any of the people on this Real World particularly captivating. Maybe it'll get better...I'll just keep watching to see more of Paris.

It's kinda hard to say because they have blurred out letters before, but not always. Like sometimes they'd show Carrie (Chicago)'s ZTA shirts, sometimes not. I was watching that real world show on VH1 and they showed the dreamy surfer guy from L.A. with a Lambda Chi shirt on and I KNOW I have never seen it before and it was a scene I'd seen a lot.

Dave from Road Rules..... what frat is he in? Again, does ANYONE know?

Also, in response to the question about blurred out frat and sorority names, I have no idea why Mtv does that. Throughout the 2nd NYC one, Mike and Kevin would have to cover up their frat letters only sometimes. Other times, Mike's Theta Chi and Kevin's Pi Kappa Phi were clearly visible. Either bad editing, or Mtv is trying to get info through.

There was one point when he was wearing that hat and the letters weren't blurred out.

Also, I'm a "southern belle" and I'm not extremely impressed with Ace. He just seems like most of the guys that you get around here. On the other hand, I think that may be why most of the southern girls do like him. This is the first guy that I remember who has been a true representative of most guys down here. Take that as you will.

I think Ace is as sweet as can be. Yeah he did cheat on his girl and that wasn't cool at all, but it's not like he was a total jerk about it. He tried really hard to be faithful to her and you gotta put yourself in his shoes. If he and Kate weren't totally 1000% nearly getting married when he got home kinda together, you can't say that when you are all the way over in Paris living a completely new experience and you have feelings for a girl you live with, that nothing is going to happen. I think Ace is not only dreamy, but he seems like a sweet boy with a good heart that is honest and cares about peoples feelings most of the time. Everyone is entitled to a slip up every now and again. Now, if one day one he was like "I have a g/f but I don't care and I'm gonna hook up with whoever whenever" then I wouldn't think much of him, but I think time and again he has shown himself to be a gentleman, and at least compared to the guys I know around here, that can be a hard commodity to come by sometimes.

That's funny...I think the reason I have a not-so-secret crush on him is that he's utterly unlike anyone I've ever known. The Southerners I know are those who chose to go to college in the Northeast, so they are not exactly a representative sample. In real life, I'm sure Ace and I have nothing in common and we wouldn't get along. On TV, though, I find him insanely hot, probably because he's the antithesis of my usual type (urban, well-traveled Ivy League intellectuals). To me, Ace is a lot more exotic than the French!

Wow! That was quick! She must've been dating this new guy for only a few months(they taped the Real World last spring so I'm guessing they probably broke up in April).
Good for her! Lot's of ZTA love to Kate! (Her and Ace made a cute couple but I think she's too good for him

I LOVED Ace...he is such a southern sweetie...my dream come true. I realize that he may have kissed Mal and Christina when he was drunk.....but Kate didn't actually consider them to be boyfriend/girlfriend so who cares? Anyhow......I want someone just as adorable as he is and loves to snuggle!!!
