I found out the SEC team that is looking at VSU head coach Chris Hatcher as the possible head coach. Alabama. Apperently they like what he has done with VSU and think he will be patient enough to wait out the suspention. I heard Jim Donovan was another option. Dawg fans would hate him...lol

The football team has been in Florence since Tuesday and I got a call from the van of cheerleaders en route about an hour ago. They're trying to figure out what to do in Florence after the cheerleaders' official breakfast tomorrow.
LOL!!! What DOES one do in Florence?

Looks like Valdosta State lost 31-24. Let Thrillhouse's comments begin

What a game! Grand Valley was suppose to do better than that. They only had the two best players in divison two football on their team. Those were the 2 that won it. Valdosta did alot better than I thought they would, they kept it close. Now that Grand Valley loses their best players after this season VSU will win it next year! They will dowhat Grand Valley did, win it on the second try. Good game Thrillhouse, your boys pulled it off. Second in the Nation isn't all that bad.

Sorry to hear about your loss Valdosta guys. Carnation, there is not much to do or see in Florence. I went to school at Univ. of North Ala. where the stadium is. Actually, the stadium is not on campus but is adjacent to it. I lived around the corner from there.
There is a neat obsevation tower with a nice resteraunt in it in town. There is also Ivy Green in nearby Tuscumbia. This is the house where Helen Keller grew up. Also, in downtown (on Court St.) Florence there is a great Italian restaurant called Ricatoni's. That's about all to Florence, other than that people drive an hour and a half to go to the metropolis of Huntsville!

I just now got home from work--had to run over there during the 4th quarter--and saw that Valdosta lost. Well, crud! But what I saw of the game was great and I'm so proud of those guys for having such a great season!
I did not, however, see BlazerCheer once! We saw the cheerleaders 3 times and we saw the black girls, the white ones, Ballerina's Hispanic XO sister, but no little Asian girl!

I saw Blazercheer several times. This was suppose to be VSU's rebuilding year. Their ranking in the begining of the year reflected that others believed that as well. If this was our rebuilding year I would like to see us at full strength. People were giving us no respect even to the end. I saw in one paper they predicted Grand Valley to beat us by 20. After the first half and the way they played I began to think it might come true but VSU came back to tie it but blew it and the last few mins. What really hurt us was losing Tobias in the begining of the game, he was suppose to be the main person to cover Kirkus.

YEAH!!! Once more, Valdosta State will be playing in Florence for the national championship! BlazerCheer is *supposed* to cheer but they're leaving Thursday and she has 3 finals that day.
Go Blazers!!!!!

What is even more funny is Tom's alma mater is the team my alma mater will face in the championship. Mr. Earp, the Gorillas are going down.
