Hey ISUKappa, I had a funny story from last year's recruitment. There were two girls who were first cousins who rushed. Both of their older sisters were in the chapter (one was president) and both of their mothers were in that same chapter. (Our Kappa chapter) I THINK maybe their grandma was too. So basically these girls were like quadruple in house legacies. I think they were kinda embarassed (not in a bad way though if that makes sense though) bc EVERYONE knew who they were and were kinda like, so are you excited about being a Kappa? You know? (well, not exactly like that, but you know waht i mean) Pretty crazy. They both joined KKG of course and I'm pretty sure they both love it. I want to make this kind of legacy someday. I want my great great grandaughter to be initiated at Grand Convention someday because she is a however many generation that is is legacy. : ) Just my random thoughts for the day!

I'm an Alpha Phi at the University of Washington and I have two younger brothers (they're twins). One became a Sigma Chi and the other a Theta Chi, both are outstanding chapters here. I might have helped them out just a little bit during recruitment, but they're both having the time of their lives!

ADPIZXAlum That's crazy! I'm glad they're happy there, though! When I was in school our Chapter Adviser would sometimes bring her two little daughters over to the house. They would just walk around, hang out, and sing Kappa songs! (their mother used to sing old rush songs to them at night). They were so cute. I want at least one little girl someday!

queequek Her name is Lindsay Q. Her sister was Kristin, they're from WI. That's kind of funny about your cook. The one we had my first 3 years in the house was awesome, but when our house mom left for a year, she left too.

I'm not Greek, and I don't have any brothers...and I've never met my sister . However, my cousin is a member of Delta Sigma Theta. I never knew she was Greek until she wore a jacket home for the holidays w/ her letters on it. Delta must be happy to have her because she is one of the sweetest people on earth.

My sis is 15 (10 years younger than myself) and is planning on going to either UT (Tenn), Auburn, or USC (South Car.)... She has her heart set on being a ZTA. If she is dropped from ZTA, then I'll be happy as long as she goes Greek.

My younger brother is a Lambda Chi Alpha at UCF. I hung out with the Lambda Chi's years before my brother started college. (We're 3 years apart). So, when he moved to Orlando, he started hanging out with me and the Lambda Chi's and pledged his freshman year.

i think i've said this elsewhere, but one sister is a Theta, and the other is a DPhiE. The little one just was initiated, so I cant wait until she comes home for winter break so I can hear her stories!

<hjack>

my mom is jealous she never got to be in a sorority! she went to Brooklyn college during that span when they weren't allowed on campus. She lives vicariously through us.

and I really think the sorority bond is stronger than regular friendships-- she barely talks to her friends from college anymore, while I KNOW i will always be friends with mine, because they're my sisters!

</hjack> sorry!

Biological Greek Siblings--I've got you all beat!

What up? As far as Biological Greek Siblings go, I'm doing pretty well. I'm one of a set of quadruplets, and me and my 3 bros are all Pikes (Pi Kappa Alpha) at Arkansas State University and we all pledged together. And my sister is an Alpha Gamma Delta alumni here. My parents are both Greek, too- Dad's a Pike also, and my Mom is an AOPi.

holla

Bless your mother's heart but I know that an AOII can handle anything.

My younger sister is an AOII with me at Nu Beta Chapter. I told her to do whatever her heart told her to do since I was alumna already. However, she picked AOII and so did most of her friends. I think her staying with me when she would visit in highschool helped and plus she had come up two times with my parents to help decorate and get the house ready for rush.

My mom was not in a sorority at LSU but she is going to finally do AI of AOII this Spring 2004. My father was a Delta Tau Delta at LSU and his father was a DTD at Tulane and his father at Tulane as well. My great-grandmother (grandmother of my father's mother) was an AOII, initiated 1924, at UT Knoxville and her husband was a Phi Gamma Delta at UTK and my dad's mother was an AOII at Tulane. My dad's grandmother, my great-grandmother, was a Kappa Alpha Theta at Tulane, initiated in 1919, and her sister was a Theta there too, initiated in 1921. My dad's two sister's were Kappa Kappa Gamma's at LSU. My cousin is a DEKE at Bama. Oh and my great-great uncle was a Delta Upsilon at Carnegie-Mellon (I think that is the name of the college) back in the early 1930s.
