What if they're interested in two things? Possibly even three?

I'll list the qualities that I desire rather than the ones I want to avoid.
Kind
A Good friend
Sincere/Honest
Tall
Fun
Funny
Respects me, my family, and women in general

Basically I want a good, decent, kind, well-rounded man who shares my values and goals and treats me with respect and love. Someone I can be proud to call my partner.

LOL, that is probably the most realistic reply I have seen so far.

Damn people . . . I just want to say: Fall in love much?

I am not quite as nit picky as most of you . . . but I guess in the spirirt of what is posted I can write down some of the qualities that might be the difference between Ms. Right and Ms. Right now. This is something quite a few guys and some gals I know agree on.

Remember: This applies more to the forever idea.

Deal Breakers:

1. Struggles with her weight. If she is struggling now what is she going to look in 10 years or after children?

2. Has any problems with physical intimacy and sex (in terms of comfortable with her body and you). If during infatuation, when you feel the closest, she has these problems they are just going to get worse and you are going to be her husband not her therapist This covers body image problems as well as being uptight about sex.

3. Has a good relationship with her mom . . and her mom is a real "piece of work" Old male axiom: Look at the mom, there is your future wife.

4. Likes bad drama. . . we all know the type . . . life is adversarial enough without going home to it.

5. Treats her pets better than people . . . [i]she will take better care of them than you, and lets face it you can never be as unconditionally devoted as her pets. [/]

6. IS not very attuned with her emotions and not very articulate ina good way. It means her lack of ability to speak well and express herself meaningfully will hurt you almost every day you spend with her!

7. This goes with number 6: Dramatically angry. Do you like things thrown at you?

8. Also goes with number 6: Passive Agressive Hello, days of uncomfortable attitude filled with constant "Fine" and "whatever's" with you trapped in marriage.

These were the ones a bunch of my male friends and some of my female friends agreed on.

A lot of the ones you people named seemed pretty trivial and destined to leave you unhappy.

Edited for punctuation and italics

This is gonna be looooong post

If I sound at all shallow...I'm sorry, but I am WAY picky cuz of my dad's six marriages...I don't want to end up like him

*Is violent in ANY way, shape, or form. I do not tolerate it and NEVER will again!

*Talks to me like I'm his slave, cook, or waitress, you know condescending. I DEMAND respect dammit!

*Doesn't care about how he looks and wears the same clothes for weeks at a time...YUCKY! and SMELLY!

*Has no respect for authority and rules...if he can't follow them, how is he gonna follow MY orders

*Cannot put up a good fight in an arguement because he has no opinions on anything...so he's boring.

*Is not affectionate and will not leggo of his machoness to tell me he loves me in his Kermit voice...scary, but oh-so cute

*Has bad skin- I had bad skin when I was in middle school...very traumatic...so it sorta turns me off...

*Make fun of other GLOs, this really pisses me off!

*Acts like an A$$HOLE in front of my friends or coworkers. So, he makes me look like an ass for bein with them.

*Doesn't have a drop of jealousy in his blood...I like to feel wanted, so he needs to be a little jealous...

*Can't make me laugh or smile when I feel like crap.

*Hates children, my whole life revolves around them cause of my job and my future as a mom and teacher. I want someone who love them as much as I do!

*Someone who doesn't appreciate me for who I am as a person, individual, and WOMEN!

*Someone who has no ambition or goals. I do NOT want to support someone who won't get off his LAZY a$$! Yes, BROOKS I'm reffering to YOU!

See, shallow huh? I'm sorry, I just demand a lot because I truely feel a WOMEN should demand it.

However, if I find someone who does possess one of the traits up above and I still love them...Then you know it's true love!

I have about a 1000 more, but don't want to bore you more than I already have

Ivory

OK, I'll add a new dealbreaker:

*Can not have curly, bright red hair or tweeze his eyebrows so they are thinner than mine.

P.S. I said he has to make me laugh....Carrot Top=make Ivory cringe, not laugh

You guys crack me up

After reading through this I've determined that I really have just one major qualification, good conversationalist.

I'm a Gemini, I talk a lot. I'm fairly bright by all accounts. I go off on little tangents and semi-philosophical babble and generally meaningless chit chat like nobody's business. I'm really just looking for a guy that can keep up with me. This is probably why I keep ending up with fellow Gemini's.... hmmm....

Edited to add:
Back to the subject at hand - Dealbreakers. Freshman year, first date, cute boy. He says to me, "the new Crash Test Dummies album is really good." (think Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm song.)
That was a dealbreaker.

Another big one, guys in their mid 20's should not act like 18 year olds. By the time you're my age your 'experimentation' phases should be behind you. You can still get loaded but it should be MUCH less often then when we were in college. Also, you should have learned by now to sip a beer with friends and leave it at that. Unbelievable how many guys that rules out.
