Who else is super super excited about rush?

I'm super-excited too! I've been doing as much research as I can, on the chapters at my school, Greek life at my school, and everything I can find about rush and related topics on Greek chat. I'm mostly worried about what I'm going to wear -- my school has split-night parties, so I think we've actually got THREE nights of first-round parties and two nights of second-rounds, plus preference, so I'll need a million different things to wear. Plus, it's going to be early fall in the Midwest, so it could either be really really hot or pretty chilly, and I need to plan for either type of weather . . . I'm getting nervous!

I'm jumping out of my skin here! 3 more days til we move into the house and start Spirit Week! God, can Saturday get here already?

Recruitment is an amazing time!

To all the nervous sisters: that feeling is a good one, it means that you love your chapter and want to make sure that all the pnms that walk through understand what a sisterhood you've found there. They can't know exactly what its like but if you take a deep breath and think about a great moment you've had in your house before each party, the enthusiasm will shine through.

To all the nervous pnms: the active sisters are so excited to show you what their chapter means to them so rest assured they have a lot of pressure on them as well. Don't fixate on every little aspect of your appearance. Instead really try to take in what each chapter is trying to tell you about themselves each night. If they do a skit about how involved they are on campus, ask them questions about it! Ask the sisters how being an ABC has changed them for the better--they'll be so glad to tell you.

Recruitment is the best time of year-- it's like an entirely different world! Everyone's so stressed and run down, but at the same time SO excited and unified, I just think it's the greatest thing ever.

Some more unsoliticed advice... trust your officers! Some girls in my chapter have this tendency to question every decision being made and it slows the whole process down (to paraphrase Bring It On, the greatest movie ever.... This isn't a democracy, it's a Rushocracy ) Above all else, HAVE FUN!!

I hope when recruitment kicks into high gear everyone starts story threads and keeps us updated! I want to hear everything!

Im excited about rush too! I am a sophomore, my first year on the other side. I am moving into the house tommorow!!!
then we have pre rush and then rush! I cant wait to meet all of the great pnms!! and we are also a lil nervous too!!

I'm moving into the house tomorrow, too! I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!

No GC for two weeks but what can you do? I'm sure I'll find something to do to fill up my days...like practicing songs, walkouts, and conversations. We'll have dress checks, meetings, and run-throughs of all the rounds. Workshops, reviews, and practices. Next Saturday we'll have a mock recruitment with Theta.

Can't wait! Wish me luck! I'll be looking for my future little sis during the parties!
