Balut. Erg. It's something that is eaten in Hawaii and--OTW, help me here--I think it's a fertilized duck egg that's eaten before the duck fully develops. Our next-door neighbor, who's Filipino-Hawaiian, can't talk about it without retching.

I have decided that I will not eat mexican food north of Austin. I was in Colorado in September and tried 2 different mexican food restaurants and lets just say it wasn't a pleasant experience.

I also will not eat any types of chicken-yuk!
meat
pork
squash (unless fried)
okra (unless fried or in gumbo)
corn unless it is on the cob
broccoli unless thoroughly cooked and tender and must have cheese
most fruit
coconut (I get sick when I smell coconut, even coconut tanning lotion)
zucchini
cookies
ice cream (once in a blue moon I will eat ice cream)
wheat bread

I would say that out of this list coconut and chicken are the main ones you couldn't pay me to eat

If you're ever in the Chicago area, though, you have to try El Tipico, on Dempster Street in Skokie for wonderful Mexican. Of course, this post is coming from a native Midwesterner who actually likes seafood, so I don't know how much I am to be trusted but try it, it's wonderful.

I would never not ever eat

Coconuts, definitely

Cucumbers...I used to give them to my little (blood) sister, and when I moved to Pittsburgh and met KappaStarboy, I would always give him mine when I got a salad. One week, my sister came to visit and we all went out to dinner. I ordered my favorite salad (Pittsburghers, it's all about the Buffalo Chicken salad at the Union Grill in Oakland), picked out the cucumbers, and gave them to KappaStarboy. My sister turned to him and said "Ah, I see that's YOUR job now." It was funny.

Celery
Cauliflower
Cottage Cheese
Corn Dogs
Coffee

and other food that doesn't begin with "C":
Octopus
Artichoke hearts
Mayonnaise
Sugared cereals

OMG, I forgot about cucumbers the most wretched of them all. In college when my roommate and I were in a fight, he use to put cucumbers in the fridge to piss me off otherwise they were not allowed near the house. The smell absolutely nauseates me. I love pickles though (as long as they are not kosher).
