-Never broken a bone or had a cavity
-Can't tan to save my life but burn quite spectacularly
-my eyes are very blue and people ask me, "Is that color natural or are you wearing contacts?" Yeah, both, 'cause I'm completely and totally nearsighted!
-I've live in Michigan, Wisconsin, NC, Oregon, Ohio and Washington
-The cousin I'm most like is the adopted one (we don't look alike, though - he's from Korea)
-The widest part of my body is my ribcage (this is important when you're caving. I know someone who's widest part is her head!)
-Love dogs but am completely allergic to cats
-I'm shorter than my mom but have a taller reach than her
-I have five tall shelves of books, but I haven't counted them lately
-I majored in English (pretty normal) and the history and philosophy of science and technology (not so normal)

you people are going to start hating me soon - I keep coming up with more and more...
-I lived the 1st 2 years of my life on a mountain (Mt. Seymour, North Vancouver)
-I had blue eyes til the age of 3 then they turned hazel; I was blonde til the age of 5 and then turned brunette - I returned to blonde 5 years ago...
-by the age of nine I could figure skate, horseback ride (english saddle), play tennis, do gymnastics, do ballet and swim competively
-my ancestors (the MacKinnons of the Isle of Skye) invented the concept for the toll booth
-my Dad is English, Scottish, Irish and German; my mum is English, Welsh and Jewish
-I am first generation Canadian and the first person on my dad's side born out of the UK
-I am the first person on my dad's side to get a university degree.

While a lot of people have some interesting facts about themselves.. the similarities between my best friend and I at school are remarkable:
we are both 5'5 with naturally dark blonde (but now highlighted blonde) hair and blue eyes
We are born in the same month
our initials are separated by one letter (SMM and SMA)
our mothers are both from northern Ohio named Mary and have maiden names that start with W
My mother's best friend at school was a year older than her because she went abroad for year, my best friend at school is a year older than me because she went a year abroad
we are both one sixteenth native american.. but not just native american, from the same tribe
and these are the only ones I can think of from the top of my head... fate has something to do with this one!

- Besides having a really bad case of jaundice when I was born that made me look like a pale china doll with burnt ears, I also had to lay in the incubator with cast one both my feet because I had clubbed feet.
- I have sandy brown hair with natural red highlights and my hair almost turns fire red in the summer. Kinda unusual for an african american

- I come from a huge family... I am the only child on my moms side, but shes from a family of 11 and my grandfather on her side comes from 8 and grandma from 2. All aunts and uncles generally have 2+ kids. On my father's side (who i really dont speak with too often) I have about 14 half brothers and sisters and was an aunt when I was born. Father also comes from a family of 5.
- I have a fear of Pigeons and Seagulls (can hear snickering...shut it
). When I was little and walking home from daycare with my mom, we stopped in a doughnut shop and on the way to the house she went to give me one. A seagull swoops from nowehere and litterally takes it out my moms hand and pretty much chases us home. Tramatizing to a 4 year old. I have a fear of heights which comes and goes.
- I went to pre-k 2x because we moved to a different city and they didnt have my records yet. So I actualy could have graduated HS at 16 and college at 20.
- I went to a school for advanced shildren at age 3
- my dad was a golden glove boxer in the amateur or light weight division
- The late Lewis Billups who played for the Cincinnati Bengals was my 2nd or 3rd cousin. And I have a cousin who played D-1 college basketball and made it to the Final Four.
- The first sweatshirt I ever got to pick out at the age of 8 was a Harvard Law School one
- I failed my road test 3x in HS and havent taken it since. Not because im scared it just always gets put off and I didnt need a car in college.
- I never visited my college until I went down for Orientation
- My friends say and to a point I agree, that I am an exhibitionist. I have been known to change clothing in passenger seats on thruways and on street corners and not care. Sometimes you do what ya gotta do.
- My swim team nickname was "Killer" and I shaved the most time of a 50yd than anyone my coach coached.
- I have never had a boyfriend or been on a date. Date parties dont count, cuz I took my best guy friend. And no nothing is wrong with me, just too busy for one generally.
- I was the only senior in my sorority
- I can make one eyebrow go up while the other goes down repeatitivly
- I can snort a Beethoven symphony
- I have a guys mentality...which can be pretty fun at times
- I am the only one of my close female friends who knows ANYTHING about sports...even the simplest things like who many points a touchdown is.
- At parties I have been known to dance on anything from fireplaces, bars, to a stairbanister. And the last one was kinda tricky
- Beginning at age 9, my bestfirend and Iwrote tons of books to keep ourslevs entertained and Ive been known to write novels here and there.
- Supposedly I had been committing Fraud for the 21 years of my life. I had to replace my SS card when my wallet was stolen last spring. I went to the office and my middle name on my SS card was not how I was raised to spell it and the guy questioned me abou that. When I was born my mom wanted my middle name to be spelled Nicole, but the nurse got it wrong on my birth cert. and spelled it Nichol. My mom saw the error and told them to change it. Turned out 21 years later, they never did

Japanese jibberish? Why did you get something permanently etched on your temple if it is simply "jibberish" to you? Are you part Japanese? If you are, then that's nice. If you aren't, it just exemplifies one of my pet peeves when people of non-asian descent have asian character tatoos that they can't even pronounce. My advanced apologies if you are asian or if you understand the character. Just one of my pet peeves brought to the forefront. But otherwise, you sound like an interesting person!

WTF is Japanese jibberish? If it's just jibberish, why the hell would you want it tattoed on your body? I don't mean to cause drama, but I take offense to it--because the characters mean a lot. I take pride in my culture and it irks me to hear people refer to it as 'jibberish'

I agree with you pbpck. It bothers me when people get designs/words only because it looks nice. A girl on my dorm floor got her "Hawaiian-ized" name tattoed on her body. Jennifer=Kinipela...little did she know that Kinipela is a combination of 2 Hawaiian words that meant "rotting flesh". I was at the mall yesterday and noticed Kanji characters on this guy's neck. I strained to get a better view of the characters... and the idiot had it tattooed backwards.

I'm not very interesting, but here goes:
1. I was born a year and a day after my cousis, and it was also the day before my grandfather's birthday.
2. My cousin who's bday is the day before mine has the same first and last name as me, along with 3 other cousins, and my grandmother. (Italians will understand that)
3. My brother shares his first name with 3 other cousins, but only two share the same last name, plus my grandfather.
4. My parents had the same last name, but are NOT related. They were also both born in the same "town" in Sicily (Palermo, but it's huge).
5. My mom was 7 when she came to America on the boat to Ellis Island. My father came when he was 17, after serving in the Italian Army.
6. My brother and I are first generation Americans.
7. I'll be the first one on my mother's side to graduate from a 4 year college.
8. I have over 30 cousins (from both sides), and I'm the second youngest cousin on my mom's side (which makes #7 a great accomplishment)
9. I was voted Most School Spirit in high school.
10. I've played tennis since I was 7 or 8. I sucked my freshman year of high school, but my sophmore year my partner and I were voted MVP and were 2nd place in Leagues and Regional Champs.
11. I got cracked by a tennis racquet when my team mate was tryin to smack a bee. It hit me in the lower part of my eyebrow...it hurt.
12. My eyes are hazel, with little yellow specks. They're kinda freaky. However, they're darker in the winter?
13. Haven't seen my real hair color since 6th grade.
14. How did I get into UofM-D with my grades and ACT score?
15. I love giving blood.
16. I'm on my 3rd Mercury Mountaineer at age 21, and I've hit cars two different times in the same parking lot.
17. I'm deathly afraid of evelavtors.

Gee, I can't imagine why I forgot these: (yawn!)
-I'm married to a "farmers daughter" who is a former "Toledo Area Student Council Queen." She was also Prom Queen.
-We met in a speech class in college. She got an A, I got a D. (I had a huge personality conflict with the TA -- which is a really dumb reason for screwing up your GPA)
-When we met, I was a Disc Jockey at a local radio station and she was singing in a local rock band.
-Our oldest daughter graduated from the same school (Ohio University) we did, even though we live 1300 miles away.
-I was the announcer for the marching band at OU (and HS). The director of that band later became the director of the band at Oklahoma (the other OU, as we think of it -- ours is nearly a century older) and just retired. Our son is being highly recruited and has been offered a full academic (National Merit) scholaraship at OU -- the one in Oklahoma. If he goes there, that will be four of us who graduated from OU -- three in Ohio one in Oklahoma.
-Neither of my parents graduated from high school. I was the first in my family to graduate from college.
-Everyone in my wife's family is a college graduate -- including her grandmother, which was fairly uncommon in those days.
-Her mom is an ADPi, but had a bad experience and said they would not suport her in college if she pledged. Pi Phi, Chi O and ADPi wanted her, but she did not pledge.
