OMG I will think about that scene randomly sometimes. That little girl should have gotten every acting award in the entire world.

The last episode. Can't do it.
It used to be the only thing that got me was thinking about my mother getting older and possibly living without her. My list has gotten longer as I've gotten more tender-hearted over the years. It now includes:
*a number of Gospel songs
*the series finale of Boy Meets World
*any sorority ceremony
*songs that remind me of my grandmother (like Remember Me)

Dumbledore's funeral reminded me of my grandmother's. That damn book had me in the fetal position for at least 10 minutes. The same thing happened when the grandmother died in "A Day Late and a Dollar Short." Just don't mention the word "grandmother" ANYWHERE.

I'm not a crier and I haven't cried in years but today I heard George Strait's "Love without End, Amen" and totally teared up thinking about my husband and what a good father he is
it's not quite the same without the music but here's the lyrics...
I got sent home from school one day with a shiner on my eye.
Fightin' was against the rules and it didn't matter why.
When dad got home I told that story just like I'd rehearsed.
And then stood there on those tremblin' knees and waited for the worst.
And he said, "Let me tell you a secret about a father's love,
A secret that my daddy said was just between us."
He said, "Daddies don't just love their children every now and then.
It's a love without end, amen, it's a love without end, amen."
When I became a father in the spring of '81
There was no doubt that stubborn boy was just like my father's son.
And when I thought my patience had been tested to the end,
I took my daddy's secret and I passed it on to him.
Last night I dreamed I died and stood outside those pearly gates.
When suddenly I realized there must be some mistake.
If they know half the things I've done, they'll never let me in.
And then somewhere from the other side I heard these words again.
And They said, "Let me tell you a secret about a father's love,
A secret that my daddy said was just between us.
You see Daddies don't just love their children every now and then.
It's a love without end, amen, it's a love without end, amen."

I will cry at really sweet Hallmark cards, so I'd say I cry almost at the drop of a hat.
One time when I was a blubbering wreck was near the end of The Dark Knight Rises, when Alfred's standing at Bruce's parents' graves. It's bad enough to see a sweet old man cry, but to go through that emotional rollercoaster of a movie and then see that, I was just completely done.

Ok yeah...I shouldn't have listed to that again because now I'm crying.

Yes, bagpipes anytime. They were played when my husband graduated academy, and I cried my damn eyes out. There was pride in those eyes too, though.

I am notorious for tears freely flowing while I'm cursing like a sailor. It confuses many.

LOL. I knew what you meant. I was trying to get a "not me" denial across. Sorry that my facetiousness didn't come through.
And since I've admitted the sports movies trigger, I might as well admit my other trigger—musicals. Not every musical, of course. I'm not tearing up over The Music Man, and unlike some, The Sound of Music doesn't do it for me at all. But the final scene of Carousel, on the other hand, gets me every time.

In the movie Mamma Mia!, the song, Slipping through my fingers, where Meryl Streep is helping her daughter get ready for the wedding. I still puddle up even though I've probably seen that movie 20 times!
The song that gets me every time, and my kids know to change the station when it comes on the radio, is The Christmas Shoes, where the little boy wants to buy some shoes for his Mama so she can look pretty when she meets Jesus later on. Thank goodness that Christmas songs are limited to November and December!

I saw "Mama Mia!" with my eldest daughter the week before I took her to college for her freshman year. I cried buckets.

I am devoid of emotion, but when I saw this in theaters, I swear someone was cutting onions beside me.
