What is this thread about anyway? I forget. Oh wait, it's about melted laundry detergent, right? I don't like Tide. It makes me itch. My special snowflake skin is too good for Tide.
And I actually forgot to eat dinner tonight and now it's too late to eat. More mad face.

Tide makes me itch, too. Target has Purex pods, though, and they're awesome.

I love them. Between them and my Bounce bars, I don't have to measure anything, I don't get detergent/fabric softener spots on my laundry, and I don't have to worry about drips. Love it.

OMG...the Bounce bar. I love the Bounce bar, too! Anything to avoid those stupid sheets stuck to everything, showing up down a pants leg when you least expect it. Love, Love, LOVE!

Gain has a dryer bar now too- and it fits in the Bounce Bar holder thing. I just wish I could just buy refill bars- I don't need the part that attaches to the inside of the dryer every time I buy a new one.

Too much detergent talk; not enough anger.

How about both? If we get the apartment we've been in negotiations for in Brooklyn, it won't have a washer/dryer hookup, and we'll have to go to a laundromat, and that will make me angry.

Our dryer is broken. That makes me pretty mad.

Back when we lived in the tiny city apartment with no laundry - I just bought a whole lot of extra underwear so we didn't have to do laundry so often. When we did have to to go to the laundry, we would get up early, pack up the car and drive to the laundromat before there was anyone there. Then we would fill 7 or 8 machines with laundry, go next door and grab a pastry and coffee and do all the laundry at once.
If you get there early enough - you can do all of it at once and before the homeless guys are up to ask you for quarters.
Ah- memories....

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
SydneyK: leave all your car windows cracked a bit, your car interior won't get nearly as hot. And park where there's shade, even if it's a mile from the store. Everyone in AZ knows that. Duh.
I have to go to Discount Tires today. It doesn't smell like TidePods or Bounce or whatever. I've never been to Brooklyn. I have my own washer and dryer. I'm tired of being angry, mean, and evil; Princess Insufferable, have at it.

You know what makes me angry? Heli-parents.
This salesman on the phone was trying to make a point about government bureaucracy and started talking about having to call the government for his son, because he was turning 21 and his licence was expiring. He's an adult, making him call himself. Geez.

Want to meet for lunch? I'm not hiding; I'm just not returning calls/texts/emails etc. Done with all that. Do not owe anyone anything. Good bye.

As long as this thread has swerved multiple times, I really do have 2 questions about Tide Pods:
1) Do they cause any problems like those dishwasher gel "pellets" -- because those things ruined the surface on most of my Airbake pans. When I bought new ones, they had a warning sticker than said "don't use the gel pellets" -- too late. Do not use those. They really are Evil.
2) Do the Tide Pods come in an He version? Yes, I could probably look this up on my own or look at the store, but I can't be bothered....
Regarding the snarkiness, I cut PNMS a lot of slack, because I know my own 18 year old has a lot of questions. And, they're 18, so I expect them to need some guidance.
I get quite a few annoying e-mails from prospective graduate students, and sometimes from current students, which do annoy me, and I think this points to people wanting instant information instead of researching it themselves, such as:
1) Prospective graduate students who want me to tell them everything about the program I coordinate, via a time-consuming e-mail. Apparently, they could find my contact info. from the website, but they couldn't read any of the details, course listings, requirements, etc., and expect me to retype it. In the interest of PR, I do, and then half the time I never hear back from them. Not even a thank you for the information. And I am always extremely polite and welcoming.
2. Students lose their planned program and want me to e-mail back and list all the courses they still need to take. 'Cause keeping that important document, and looking in the catalog (also available on-line) is too much trouble.
3. Students e-mail me and ask when the courses are scheduled, because they apparently can't be bothered to look at the schedule of courses that is available on-line a full year in advance.
If they'd done some legwork and were just double-checking, it would be one thing. If they scheduled an advising appt. and came in during office hours, I would be OK with it. But, to expect an e-mail where I have to spend a half hour typing all they want to know (and is readily available on-line)...that is annoying.

I just bought the Tide Pods - haven't used them yet, but have used other detergent pods and had great success with them.
