FWIW, I've heard that smells will stimulate certain memories faster than almost anything else.

-that new car smell
-almost anything baking (bread, cookies, certain casseroles)
-tea roses
-gardenias
-magnolias
-lilacs in the rain

-nothing smells better than a fresh baby or worse than a muddy one!

Good Wine
Cookie Baking
Pine Trees
The Beach
Main Street USA, Disney World - fake smell but whatever it smells good.
And I really do love the smell of a freshly cleaned bathroom. LOL

Baby after a bath
Grapefruit
Lily of the Valley
Hydrangias
strawberries (freshly picked and still warm from the garden)
fir trees
camp fire
warm apple cider w/cloves and cinnimon sticks

and the smell of my Mom's house at Christmas- sort of a fir tree/peppermint/baked goods smell that I can't recreate at my own house no matter how hard I try!
