She appears to be trying to say that there are 4 sororities, recruitment lasted 3 days and there were 4 parties each day. PNMs were not required to go to all 12 parties, but were required to attend at least 8 out of the twelve.
Not that that makes any sense, but you see what I have to work with here.
If the goal is to ensure that women look at all the chapters then there would be an additional requirement. 8 doesn't make sense as a required number, and having a required number that takes 3 days into consideration doesn't make sense even if no rounds were invitational.
However, what she says (or tries to say) later makes more sense, you have to go to the FIRST 8 parties to be allowed to join as the 3rd day's parties aren't counted in the total. That makes a lot more sense and it means that the night she had class wasn't even taken into consideration.
So, based on what I can understand, she attended 6 parties the first two nights and had class the third night so she only attended 2. In reality she should have attended all 8 the first two nights (and appears to have no excuse not to have done so except misunderstanding) and then been fine to miss 2 on the last night.
ETA: It's unclear how her class affected this "I had class for one" isn't really clear.

This ^ is how I'm understanding it as well.
OP this is a lesson learned in making sure you ask questions if you are unsure about rules. Stop concentrating on what the school did wrong. The school is unlikely to care. Instead, if you still want to join a sorority, concentrate on COB and let whatever unfairness there is go.
And do NOT regale the sororities with stories of your experience during COB. That is not a recipe for success.

Drolefille - you got all of that out of what the OP posted? I've got some thread here I'd like you to spin into gold for me Maybe you should be calling yourself Rapunzel now.
What I don't understand is that ... oh, nevermind. I must give up the need to understand. That is the path to enlightenment (or at least in this case, relief).

You forgot the part where she had already gone through recruitment last semester and was cut from all chapters. But that was because of "bad weather." This time it was because of a Greek Life "mistake." I wonder what the excuse will be when no one wants to COB her?

Oh I'm not making claims about her chances, truthfulness, or the weather in Spain.
I only interpret *tips hat*

Or maybe the houses just didn't like her and thus she wasn't offered a bid. It's not necessarily to blame on missing a party.

Well, her grammar does leave something to be desired.

I'll say it.
The only way this forum is of any use is if people are called out in these rare instances where they leave a clear trail. I hate to see the valuable time and insight of intelligent posters wasted on this crap.
Anyone who disagrees with me- please explain how someone at a school with a number of sororities you can count on one hand can "fall through the cracks" three times. This ain't rocket science.

You said what others are thinking. We can only help when people need legitimate advice about how recruitment works and are truthful about their situations. We can't help with their other issues.

I did not think you were over the line with any of your posts, EE-BO. Thank you.

I didn't either.
The benefit of being on an anonymous site is you can lay it all out there for better or worse. However, you have to be willing to 1-really tell the whole story and 2-accept the answer you're given. And I can accept that an 18/19 year old may not be the best at telling the whole unvarnished story (assuming we understand parts of the story without actually saying it, for example), but contradicting yourself is not the same as not fully explaining.
It was years for me, for example, before I realized my role in recruitment and that several chapters cut me for very justifiable reasons. But then I never went around asking anyone for analysis or help. Or blaming anyone else for my outcome.
