Yep, and I have no idea why. If it's a friend that's asking, I'll tell them I don't have any squares, but have plenty of cylinders to spare. Corny, yes, but I have to make my own fun sometimes lol

I love people that can crack themselves up. They seem to be less likely to take themselves seriously and are therefore nice to be around.

no it's not corny, it's hilarious! A square? lol So they go, hey man can I have a square? lol I just can't stop laughing because I have this mental image of you being bothered by that. Too funny.

Yep. "Say, man, can I get a square?" I'd never heard that until college, so it was weird to hear.

I'm more bothered by the fact that I'm being asked to give up some of my $6+/pack cigarettes. Recession, y'all, recession! lol

Hilarious! Which do you get most? People asking for a cigarette or people asking for a square? I swear if I ever heard anyone ask someone that, I know I'd laugh really hard. They'd probably look at me like...

I heard "square" more in college. Now, it's usually "do you mind if I bum a smoke?"

And why do people have to say "can I "bum" a smoke?" I've heard people say that to others. Why can't they just say "can I have a cigarette?" Some of the slang words people use are just too funny.

- "hot water heater" - if the water is hot, why do you need to heat it?
- "I could care less" when the speaker means " I could NOT care less."

Drama.

Ex: Oh my gosh, I am so tired of all this dorm room drama.

Murphy's Law states that the person who talks the most about how much they "can't stand drama" is most liikely the main cause of all drama that occurs.

Hahaha I did too, then turned red, then thought someone was messing with me. It was a British guy who enjoyed that particular trick when asking Americans for a cigarette.

I wonder if President Obama buys cigarettes when he visits Chicago or if he stocks up before he leaves D.C....

Random thought.
