Miss Virginia had the best answer for her question...I didn't much like her dress, though, wayyyyy too yellow! She did a great job with her talent, too.

Whoo! I'm just excited that the winner is from my current state. That never happens. (At least never when I live there.)

Disappointed that Miss DC didn't get to the interview portion. And personally, I thought her talent was much better than Miss Kentucky... but what do I know?

Congratulations, Miss Virginia. I thought her interview portion was beautifully succinct and lovely.

I am SOOO happy! I missed the crowning but I'm thrilled for her! She was my #1 all the way (although her talent was shaky she did have a strong finish and a fresh and fun attitude). Also I thought there were tons of butter faces this year (just gonna come right out and say it). What was up with that?!

I was also SUPER EXCITED TO SEE MY FAVORITE MISS AMERICA OF ALL TIME! ERICKA DUNLAP! OMG!!!!!!!! She is also from FL too so yay! I <3 her! She was the first Miss Am. that I was excited to see win! So beautiful & talented! I cried.

Count me in with the group that thought Miss CA was going to win.

I loved the yellow...makes me wish I had more yellow in my closet.

YES IT IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She also wore yellow when she won! And she pointed it out in her interview. I'm going to wear yellow to everything now, it obviously means good luck !

I don't know...I'm a huge fan of yellow, but that was garish to me.

Yeah, I thought that Miss VA's yellow was a bit obnoxious (but not as obnoxious as I thought that Ericka was on TAR, lol).

Sadly, I only saw the last two (three? From the Talent on.) parts. My dog's groomer found a raised mass (about the size of a quarter) under his collar yesterday, I ran him to the vet (the dog, not the groomer), and it will be biopsied while he's under next week. My life has been reduced to making sure he doesn't scratch it again, cleaning the wound, and forcing pills down his little throat...

I think it's Society, as if they have their own sorority. Which I suppose they do!

Sorry I missed the experience with y'all - it's much more fun that way! Congratulations to Miss Virginia - it's about freaking time!!!!!

Weirdly, I'm not wild about yellow, but the boy once pointed out that in all of my best photos, I'm wearing yellow. Hmmm....

I also thought California was going to win. I thought she was adorable. But I'm from Virginia born and raised, so I'm happy for Miss VA!

***Off topic*** You have a good groomer, then. That's terrific that he or she alerted you to the mass immediately. Hopefully, it will be benign. Please keep me updated, ok?

Thank you! Mary's wonderful - I don't allow him to go without his collar, and I know all of his little skin tags, just didn't notice the mass. He's getting his teeth cleaned next week, so they'll biopsy & remove the mass (if prudent) while he's under.
