Hubby and I were at his frat's house and we ended up watching the show b/c the wife is an AI and Ruben fan like me. It was so annoying having to watch the whole thing. I really wanted to watch Law and Order and then switch over to AI at like 9:45 to see who won so that I wouldn't have to watch the whole thing.
But when Ruben was announced the winner, me and the wife jumped up and screamed like crazy!!! I still can't believe that Ruben's the new American Idol!!!! I'm buying his single as soon as it hits the store!!!!!
GO RUBEN!!!!!!

Both of them are great singers, and personally I'm glad it's over, cause this was the most racially charged American Idol ever.

I was switching back and forth. They had on THREE L&O's tonight including the 300th episode!
But RUUUUUBEN winning made it worth it!!

I was doing the same thing. Three back to back L&Os! I was glad when AI ended so I could watch the third one uninterrupted.

Is the time clock on this board 20 minutes fast or is it my computer? I first noticed it when I came on to post about Ruben winning at 8:55pm Central time and the show wasn't even off yet. But Cream had already posted the results and it was timestamped at 9:10 - LOL.

It's still crazy here in Birmingham. People are going to be celebrating all through out the night.
I just wanted to say that both Ruben and Clay have been working on their album with the legendary Clive Davis. Both their albums will be released in the same week. So, for all the Ruben and Clay fans, music is on the way...
By the way, Ruben already has a title for his album. It's going to be called "Ruben Studdard: The Musical Expreience".
