Right, but that doesn't eliminate the perception that since chapters are primarily white, they are closed minded to other races. I do think that the more integration there is, the more interest there is from minorities. Just how do we turn that around? It isn't going to change if people just accept the status quo.

I am being serious in asking this question, so don't all of you jump down my throat, now. Are there any Caucasian girls in the traditionally Black Greek organizations at Ole Miss? Are they allowed to participate in their recruitment?

Not sure about right now but their have been Caucasian members in BGLO Sororities at Ole Miss. I know this from year book pics.

Now that Spring Semester 2013 has started, it's time to contact Greek Life if you are interested in Spring Informal Recruitment. http://dos.orgsync.com/org/umgreeks/gastaff

If this is happening soon, I think we can rule out AXO as they are going to have their hands (and all their other appendages) full with expansion at Arkansas.

I would so love to see Delta Zeta at Ole Miss!

Just for fun I googled around a bit -- and found that Mary Ann Mobley's younger sister is Sandra Williams Young. It appears that Sandra was a DDD at Ole Miss, though their mother attended UofA.
Of possible interest to DDDs -- Sandra Williams Young is the current president of the Delta Delta Delta Foundation:

Don't forget LSU recolonization next fall!

On the other hand, there are women at Ole Miss who are really not ready for a four-year college, or who will only be able to handle it if they put all their focus on studying. So naturally the chapters have to be very concerned about that.

Exactly. I doubt there are any warnings about high school GPAs under 2.79 anywhere on W&M's site.

Question about bid day
This is my first posting but I've been learning from all you wonderful ladies for several months. Thank you so much! My dd is going through recruitment at Ole Miss tomorrow along with a few others from our hometown (OOS) as well as her roommate from another state. However, I am the only mom in our small group who was in a sorority so they are asking me questions. (I know, bad idea). One comment that another mom heard that I haven't been able to research/verify is regarding the multiple selection process and bid day. I know there is a thread for that but I didn't find the answer there. She was told that if her dd was invited to THREE houses for pref AND if she ranked all THREE, that she would, for sure, get a bid to one of those 3. I never thought that to be true but I'm obviously from the dark ages before RFM and computers and quota being adjusted and finalized during the week. Can any of you enlighten me?
