no, you have it wrong. Ashley leaving puts a huge hole in Casey's character. its not like they can write her a new BFF - she isnt ever shown with other sisters aside from Frannie, and we all know that Frannie is about to do major back stabbage.
and if Ashley DID get written out, it shows how weak these writers are. the show would get really one-dimensional. i dont want this turning into a Casey/Evan/Cappie free-for-all. we need other plots to follow. The bf from HS went on for a while and then it died. The storyline with Calvin went on and then he became her GFF. then this stupid credit card story. she really has nothing to go on and there's gotta be more than that. hell, i'd say that she and Rebecca get equal airtime but theyre both secondary characters. if theyre there to move the show along, give them a good reason to. We've learned a lot about Rebecca but not much about Ashley.
Casey needs to wise the hell up. trust no one Casey. not Evan, not Frannie, not Cappie... NO ONE!

Lizzie was so irrelevant, and her character wasnt even written with a possibility that she'd be back, not even for personal/professional reasons, like, if she was "randomly" visiting family in town, or if she became head of greek life there, or something.
I support Charisma Carpenter making a reappearance. that is all.

I agree i think the writers need to expand on Ashleigh's character more. Give her some kind of problem or character turn. The credit card thing was very lame. I did like Rusty pretending to be the guy on his fake ID. That was pretty funny. I want more of that in the show, just funny quirky situations you know. I'm not a big fan of the relationship drama.

I liked the credit card thing in theory. I don't think young people see the dangers of them enough and I hope it comes back to bite her at some point to show that lesson.
I had a sister who got into a heap of debt but not using one wisely and I think it's a very real issue for college students. Heck, it seems to be an American problem as proved by our housing/mortgage situation in this country.

Yes, credit card companies work exactly like that, they offered free pizza for signing up here last year, and I drove by and there was a ton of people out there signing up. It's definitely a problem, people are naive, they are like oh credit card, but then, its oh shit i have $3000 on a credit card with 18% interest, if your are late on a payment then it defaults to 26% those are big numbers.

I just thought the storyline was flimsy from the start. The salesperson was a total pusher and was blatantly over the top in approach. and why make Calvin and Ashleigh the "victims?" She already has an identity of being naive and ditzy, why ham it up even more?
And i wanted her "card being declined" scene to be more meaningful. While charging gum is hilarious, her ass needed to be stranded somewhere. Or purchasing something she actually needed. Then all to be "solved" by her limit being upped? Come on.
It was all so lame - everyone was like "take it easy there big spender" and she was so oblivious.

Well she an upped card limit, and spring break is still to come. A long way from their college.
ETA: For extreme emergencies, she still has her parents credit card.

I'm guessing the credit card story was there to, hopefully, remind people that you charge, you pay, maybe in more ways that you thought.
love being able to view it on abcfamily without commercials!

It was booooooring except for the Rebecca thing which annoys me because I hate her and i enjoy hating her and i feel like this story line is a ploy to make her more human or something :-(

Who knows the location changes time after time. The last I remember they were 10 hours away from Chicago, and I don't think they specified in which direction.
This episode: BOOOORING!!!!

I think it may have been the Halloween episode (where it was storming and thundering) where the weather report showed the school in the Cleveland area? Or did i make that up?
