Seriously AGDee, you need to teach a class to some of these parents!

The IT department put a blocker on Myspace at work!

I was pretty pissed when my work blocked MySpace & LJ, but after getting some really inappropriate picture comments, or coming across the random profile with a half naked chick, I'm glad they blocked it or I'd be fired for viewing them by now.

Proxy servers are key. That's how I access it at work.

Upload your songs where bandwidth is no problem...then go to poqbum.com -- that's what I use. It's great.

You should! And while you're at it, PLEASE educate high schoolers and collegians as well, who for some reason think that parents, schools administration, potential employers, family friends, youth group leaders, etc. can't see what they post. It's frustrating watching people post pictures of them drinking underage, giving way too much information about their bodies at parties, or even doing drugs. Even though there have been articles about it in the papers, they still think they're safe, and they're only hurting themselves. Parents DO need to monitor the sites to make sure their kids aren't being downright stupid as far as safety and image is concerened.
I always know not to post things on my myspace or facebook that would upset my mom...because I guarantee she's looking at them!

Even though my mom's pretty aware of what goes on in my life, I'm glad that she doesn't know to use a computer. How do I know? She's so old school that she doesn't know how to use the DVR.
And today's bit of MySpace news:
This morning I logged on to MySpace only to find 203492803948234 of my friends posting bulletins entitled "DELETE THE HACKERS!"
Apparently, if you go into your Edit Friends, you'll see Red X's with This Profile Has Been Deleted. This bulletin claims that these Red X's are hackers that somehow got into your profile. SO NOT TRUE. These are actually your friends that have deleted their profiles. Until recently they just appeared as ghost profiles in your friend counts. Now you can actually get rid of them.
Hopefully my friends will eventually get a clue because their bulletins are just damn annoying!

hahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahhaha
that was so fantabulously funny.
Funny myspace moment:
One time I was 6 states away from home and a group of guys came running up to me and asked "Are you ____ from myspace?!" when I said yes, they spazzed and ran off.
It was fairly creepy.
That's what I get for being on there forever and having 6,000 something friends. I deleted most of them because it was just weird...
You know myspace is big when movie trailers show their myspace address at the end.
Oh myspace.. who would have guessed your impact on pop-culture for our generation?

OMG, I heard about it last night & said it must be some Myspace glitch.
But wow, the hysterical bulletins! Did you get the one that said "these are terrorists from Afghanistan!" or some drama like that? Yeah, like they'd want to read a 20 yr old's myspace...!

Good pointing that out. I just went through my Groups and lo and behold it's not there anymore! Haven't been there in forever so I didn't even notice that it's been deleted.

This is definately true, I get my layouts from whateverlife She has really great layouts and a lot of good tools etc, without being shady and having crap all over the page
btw- facebook launched an applications section so you can add slideshows, music, etc to your page, its a lot of fun, i've been playing around with it for awhile. If you go to the left side and click on applications- you can update/edit your stuff there.

Preferred list
Whenever you put someone on your preferred list, does myspace send a message to that person?
There's two or three people who I DON'T want reading my blogs, then there's people who I don't care either way, and the rest I would like for them to read my blogs. I could just add everyone but those two or three, but it would seem awkward (for me) to add the second group (if they knew it). That's because I've kind of lost touch with them, it would seem strange if they suddenly saw a message that I've added them to my preferred list. I don't mind if they read my blogs nevertheless.
