I was half listening this morning to the radio and the DJ that does the celeb news made a comment that Janet Jackson finally admitted that she has a 18 year old daughter named Renee. Has anyone else heard this news?

I have seen articles saying that her ex-husband's brother Young De Barge, I think, has made these statements. I don't think that Janet has confirmed it yet though.

I believe this to be true, though. Last Christmas or Thanksgiving I was home w/my family, and my sister started telling us how she had watched a special on the Jackson family recently. She said that it showed some old footage of Janet holding a young girl that looked exactly like her. My sister said that Janet commented that this was her sister Rebbie's daughter and her favorite niece. From that point onward, my sister has been swearing up and down that this was Janet's baby. She claims that the baby was about as old as Janet's relationship w/Chico (I think he was the one), and that she did remember Janet disappearing from the limelight for a bit b4 coming back w/her Rhythm Nation album. I laughed at my sister when she was telling me this, but it seems that I owe her an apology now.

The only reason I think it's true is b/c Janet is so private and she probably just kept it secret to keep the kid out of the spotlight. Remember how she kept her marriage to Rene a secret for so long?

I do think it's true, I have heard for years taht Janet had a child when she was 18 when she secretly married James DeBarge. I'm saying if you got a kid, stop hiding her.

Janet was married to James DeBarge.

If what Young DeBarge is saying is true, the child would have been born in 1987, which was two years after they had divorced. And WHO CARES if she has a child? With all the drama that goes on in that family, would you advertise that you are a Jackson? lol

And this rumor is at least 15 years old...

I remember when she married James. I was hatin' on Janet for that - I was a big DeBarge fan back then. Young DeBarge would be who... Chico? Didn't he turn out to be on drugs (along w/ 1/2 of the family)?

These celebs and their skeletons.

I heard she had a baby right before the Pleasure Principle video. This was why she was a little heavier. (She wasn't big acoording to "our " standards, but you get my point.) Everyone said James was the daddy. She may have been in the 2300 Jackson street video too.

At least in that pic, Momma Diddy just looks "bad" instead of hiddeous. And Victoria Gotti just need to get rid of that weave because I refuse to believe that that "bird nest" is her hair.

But I've always read that even after the marriage was annulled, she continued to fool around with James.

ok. i used to work for her brother mike, so lemme clear a few things up as best i can

first things first: Rebbie isn't janet's mom. Katherine is. Jan was the baby of nine-but she's actually the 10th child. Marlon had a twin that died. there is a 16 year age gap between Maureen and Janet, but she's not Jan's mom-she married Nathaniel Brown as soon as legally able and had 3+1 kids, none of which IS janet-but one of whom IS Janet'S.

Jan married james at 18, to get out of the house. her parents are Jehovah's Witnesses, and some JWs don';t believe in leaving the roost until marriage. James was a crack and heroin addict. jan even dabbled in drugs during their marriage for a time. She got sick of looking for her husband in alleyways and crack houses, sick of trying to make it work, so she left. she still 'fooled around' with him after their breakup, tho. Jan and James had already had their marriage annulled when she became pregnant for the fourth time in the mid-80's. she waited too long to have that child aborted-and that child is her daughter Amber. Rebbie had had a miscarriage that had not been public around the same time janet had been preggers, so when the time came, jan GAVE her daughter to Rebbie. James and his mom Etterlene both knew about it. it was jan's decision-not Katherine's-for her 'not to have ea newborn by her drug addicted ex right as her Control LP came out so as to overshadow her burgeoning solo career'. Amber KNOWS who her mother is, but calls Jan her Auntie, and Rebbie and Nate her parents. she does not see James-at least, not as of a few years ago. Amber, FYI, was the little girl sitting on Michael's lap in the Jackson's music video for "2300 Jackson St." back in 89. i'll look out for pics.

second: Jan doesn't have a kid by rene. abortions?? yes, and several by James DeBarge in the early eighties. but no kids by Elizondo. she made sure of that. she has a deep seated fear that she would not be a good enough mother-worsened by not wanting her own daughter back in the day. its guilt, i suppose.

and thirdly, i don't know for sure, but If she's pregnant by (yes, her husband) JD?? good for her. she may be finally ready for the responsibility of a child now in her life. i don't agree with her choices in the past, but good for her. forgot to mention, Amber is actually a little older than 18

Civil rights pioneer Rosa Parks has died, Local 4 has learned.

Parks, 92, reportedly died around 7 p.m. Monday at St. John Hospital on Detroit's east side.

Parks' refusal to give up her bus seat to a white man in Montgomery, Ala., in 1955 landed her in jail and sparked a bus boycott that is considered the start of the modern civil rights movement. The bus is on display at the Henry Ford Museum, Dearborn.

Parks, was born on Feb. 4, 1913, in Tuskegee, Ala. She lived in Detroit.
