NOT GUILTY! Michael Jackson is a free man! So, what's next? Can he reinvent himself? Can he make a comeback? Will we see Michael Jackson the man? He's 46 years old, and his lawyer has promised that his odd behavior with young boys will stop. Joe Jackson, Michael's dad, says Michael will talk to the press. I'm betting on Barbara Walters to get the first interview. He has already done interviews with Diane Sawyer and Oprah Winfrey. Barbara has been working on this interview for a while, and she just may get it. But, there's still Geraldo Rivera. Geraldo is very close to Michael, and supported him publicly after Michael granted him an exclusive interview during the trial. There's also Larry King. The CNN host has already gotten Michael's Attorney Thomas Mesereau, and Larry is also tight with brother Jermaine.

Speaking of Jermaine, he's hinting at a comeback plan for Michael. A Jackson Five Reunion! The brothers could definitely use the money with all the distractions keeping them away from their own careers, including the girlfriends at Neverland. Michael's brothers stood by him during his child molestation trial. Will he pay them back for their loyalty? Will they come together for a reunion tour?

Beyonce, Kelly and Michelle are calling it quits. The trio announced that Destiny's Child is coming to an end. After their current tour, the group will be no more. The ladies are due in Philly on July 2nd at the Live 8 Concert on the Parkway and at the Wachovia Center on August 5th. Beyonce's movie career is about to take off. Next year, she has The Pink Panther with Steve Martin. And, in late 2006, she will be starring in Dreamgirls with Jamie Foxx and Eddie Murphy. The movie is based on the Broadway musical. Beyonce will be busy with her acting career, so that will leave very little time for a singing group. Plus, there's the issue of Beyonce's dad. Matthew Knowles has been in hiding ever since he was fired as Beyonce's manager. Beyonce found out he was harassing one of her background dancers, and she decided to put her foot down and send him packing. The past few weeks have been rough for Beyonce. In addition to the problems with her dad, she has to pay back the Wilhelmina Modeling Agency $1 million for unpaid commissions and services stemming from a deal with L'Oreal cosmetics.

Will Maxwell release a new album this year? A few weeks ago, he turned in an album to the executives at Sony Music, but they rejected it. They felt the album was too sexually revealing. What is Maxwell trying to reveal? Does he want to tell us something? Can we handle the truth? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm! What do you think? Will he tone down the message of his album and leave out the sexually revealing lyrics? Maxwell named the album Black Summer Nights? Will we ever get to hear it? At 1am, she came onstage wearing a mushroom wig and much attitude. Sources say she yelled at her band more than she sang, and then she abruptly left the stage.

At the movies, it's Batman Begins with Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman and, the future Mrs. Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell, a reality TV star? According to published reports, Naomi recently signed a million dollar deal with the 'E' Entertainment network to star in her own reality show. In the show, we would follow Naomi as she searches for a new assistant. Naomi is known for her temper, and she is also known for beating her assistants. How will she act when the cameras follow her every move?

Kimora Lee Simmons is another model on the move. In addition to her duties as wife of Record Mogul Russell Simmons and the creator of Baby Phat Fashions, Kimora is writing a lifestyle book. The book will be a lifestyle guide that will advise, uplift, and inspire women to live the best life they can. She is also writing a children's book.

Bobby Brown's reality show, Being Bobby Brown, debuts June 30th on the Bravo network. Bobby says we will see everything except what goes on behind closed doors in the bedroom between him and Whitney Houston.

Is Dave Chappelle ready to return to Comedy Central? Dave went on a spiritual retreat a few weeks ago. When he left the country, he expressed his frustration with his "Chappelle's Show." He recently sat down with Comedy Central executives and they had a pow wow. I wonder if they asked him about the money. You know! The $50 million he got for agreeing to do two more seasons. She is best known for her role in the TV show, Saved By The Bell. She also worked on the soap operas, The Bold and The Beautiful and Days of Our Lives. Years ago, she dated Actor/Comedian Martin Lawrence. Later this year, she will be featured in the movie, The Black Man's Guide to Understanding The Black Woman.

Earth Wind & Fire are gearing up for their 30th anniversary. Their 23rd album, Illuminations, is coming out in September. Some of the featured artists on the album include Brian McKnight, Floetry, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, The Black Eyed Peas, Kenny G and Raphael Saadiq.

Author Terry McMillan is returning with a book next month called, The Interruption of Everything. An excerpt of the book can be found in the latest issue of Essence Magazine with Eva, the winner of America's Next Top Model, on the cover.

She definitely isn't strapped for cash because SBTB will NEVER go off the air. I know that she is making MAJOR bucks from that show's syndication. What's the problem? Is she being typecasted, or not getting work at all? You have to do better, Lark.

Frank Ski on Atlanta's V-103 was talking about this the other morning. He said she required that everyone call her "Miss Hill" and refused to get out of the car unless it was driven into the World Congress Center (where the Concert was held). He also said that she could not remember many of the words to her songs and kept looking at the band to prompt her. She only sang 4 songs and abruptly left the stage. He also indicated that she was acting weird at some festival on some island recently (didn't catch the name)

Rapper Cassidy is wanted in Philadelphia for the murder of a 22-year-old man during an April 15 shooting. A warrant for his arrest was issued on June 8.

Michael Giampietro, Cassidy's attorney, said he expects his client will surrender himself

to authorities on Friday morning. A police spokesperson said when he does, Cassidy will be charged with conspiracy, weapons possession and homicide.

According to police, Cassidy (real name Barry Reese) and two other men, armed with .45 and .40 caliber handguns, 9 mm pistols, AK47 assault rifles and 7.62 mm rifles, fired on three other men during an argument that unfolded behind a house in the rapper's northwest Philadelphia neighborhood just before 1 a.m. on April 15.

One of the men who was shot, Desmond Hawkins, 22, of Philadelphia, died from a gunshot wound to the back. The two other men were treated at area hospitals for gunshot wounds and subsequently released.

Police said a second warrant was also issued for 23-year-old Abdul West, also of Philadelphia, who, along with Cassidy, was one of the three shooters involved in the incident. Homicide detectives have been unable to identify the third shooter. Police were not immediately clear as to what Cassidy's connection might have been to the two other shooters. But according to a spokesperson for the department, all of the men involved "knew each other."

The three victims were reportedly unarmed at the time.

Cassidy, the first MC of significance to be supported by Swizz Beatz's J-affiliated Full Surface label, will release his sophomore album, I'm a Hustla, on June 28.

I just heard on the radio that Ronald Winans died this morning of heart failuer. He would have been 49 on 6-30. It was reported that he went into the hospital because he wasn't feeling well, and they found a lot of fluid around his heart.

I am sorry to hear this. Condolences to the entire Winans family, and to Ronald's family in particular. The Winans were/are among my favorite groups.

Tom Cruise Proposes To Katie Holmes At Eiffel Tower
After less than three months of dating, couple set to marry.

So much for the whole thing being a publicity stunt. After a whirlwind two-month romance played out mostly in front of the cameras, Tom Cruise popped the question to girlfriend Katie Holmes.

Thankfully, there was no word of jumping up and



down. According to reports, the actor did it in style, presenting a ring to his beloved at the top of the Eiffel Tower on Friday morning (June 17).

With both actors in Paris to promote their respective summer blockbusters, Cruise confirmed the joyous news at a press event early Friday morning with a simple, "Yes, I proposed to her. It was early this morning at the Eiffel Tower, so I haven't slept at all. Today is a magnificent day for me; I'm engaged to a magnificent woman."

Also magnificent, apparently, was the "massive" diamond ring on the finger of Holmes, according to The Associated Press. The "Batman Begins" actress, who grew up with a poster of Cruise on her bedroom wall and dreams of marrying the "Top Gun" actor, was described as smiling and blushing as Cruise turned to look at her during the press event for his engagement/movie "War of the Worlds."

Why the Eiffel Tower, other than the fact that Paris was a junket stop for the Steven Spielberg-directed remake of the famous H.G. Wells novel? "I've never been to the Eiffel Tower," said Cruise, 42. "It's Paris, it's a beautiful city, it's very romantic."

No date has been set yet for the wedding, which will be Cruise's third, and the first for Holmes, 26, who was previously engaged to "American Pie" actor Chris Klein. "Dawson's Creek" actress Holmes, who was raised Catholic, has reportedly embraced Scientology, the controversial religion practiced by Cruise.

The actor has said that the religion founded by late science-fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard has helped him overcome crippling dyslexia, but his recent spate of pronouncements about Scientology's benefits and slamming of actress Brooke Shields over her use of psychiatric drugs to help with postpartum depression have led some to believe that the box-office behemoth is damaging his career.

His unbridled public ebullience over the Holmes relationship — which included a now-infamous visit to "The Oprah Winfrey Show" in which he bounced up and down on the couch and slapped the floor while pledging his love to the actress — has also led some to question whether the affair was for real.

But both actors have repeatedly denied that the relationship is part of a publicity campaign for their movies.

Holmes did not talk to reporters during the Paris news conference, but according to the AP, at one point Cruise whispered "Are you OK?" to the actress. The pair were ushered into a car after the brief Paris appearance in order to motor to another promo event in southern France.
