I remember a girl who went through recruitment when I was a senior. Her last name was Head. I can't remember what her first and middle names were, but she went by their initials. My eyes bugged out when I saw her nametag--B.J. Head.

She went Zeta, if I remember correctly.

What about the people named "Name?"

Dick Butkus always makes me chuckle.

I know some of these names have origins in other languages and spellings and their English translations and pronunciations jack it up.

My aunt works as an RN, and she met a woman who had orange jello after her first baby was born, so she named him Orangejello (pron. OrAN-gello) and then lemon jello when she had her second baby - so, you guessed it - Lemonjello (pron. LeMON-gello).

Is this an urban legend?

I have heard the same story in several different parts of the country. Variation of story has them as twins.

I wish. My aunt's been an RN for 35 years and seen it all, and isn't one to repeat 2nd hand stories as her own.

They may've existed somewhere but I find it funny that everytime this story is brought up, everyone claims to know someone who knows someone.

This story has been circulating for yeeeeeears. Some still consider it a myth simply because of how it is brought up.

Someone on the urban name legends site says that oranjello and lemonjello were patients at the Children's Hospital of (Detroit) Michigan. So hopefully AF is talking about that hospital.

My father's friend (whom we haven't spoken to in years) has the last name Bonaparte. His wife became pregnant and they found out a son would be born. As a joke - my father is an extremely sarcastic man - told Mr. Bonaparte to name his new boy Napoleon. He did!

My boss has a friend who's last name is Walker. They are 30ish. Can you guess what his son Luke's middle name is?

I've met Steven King and Harry Potter, but they were born before the hits, so I don't think it really counts.

Forest Branch was an Alpha Phi Alpha at my University. He was also in ROTC and was possibly in student government too. He was a very well known figure on campus. I heard his name was a family name, so there were many other Forest's in the Branch family.

Good guy.

Not that I didn't believe you, but I totally just looked him up in our directory.... there he was! LOL.....luckily he missed the "Run, Forest, RUN!" jokes of ten years later. His pledging woulda been awful!

A baby was born around the same time as my nephew. She was named Million Dreamz. I've also known a Rocky Shore, Dick Main and Tom Thompson. A former sister's last name was Hand. Guess what her nickname came to be.

I swear I've posted this before somewhere but...

When I was in middle school we had a substitute teacher named Mr. Seaman. Richard Seaman at that. But Richard didn't go by Richard...he went by Dick.

Moral of the story: If your name is Seaman, don't name your child Richard. If your name is Richard Seaman...you don't go by Dick!

Another fun few:
Clients of one of my colleagues: Lexus, Porsche, and Benz

I also have a client who has a sister named Monee (pronounced Mo-NAY) If you're from IL (which we are)...you'd find it funny--there's a town called Monee (pronounced Mo-KNEE).
