You are okay to take Singulair and Zyrtec or Claritin together, but you should never ever mix Zyrtec, Claritin, Benedryl or any other Antihistamine. These drugs can cause serious side effects that can actually lead to death! Flonase and Sudafed can also be used with any of these drugs. Be careful about what you take! And if you take any cold remedy pills that have sudafed or other decongestants mixed with Tylenol and an antihistamine, don't take any of your prescription meds with it. Just some friendly advice from a doctor other than your own, definitely consult your own doctor before mixing different drugs.

I know it's been almost a month since rush ended but I have been super busy. Good thing I remember almost everything, I doubt I will ever forget rush. And there was lots of drama!
Day One: Brag/Philanthropy Day
The first house I went to was Kate Spade. When the door opened, I don't even think I could hear myself think the girls were so loud. The first thing I thought when I walked in was "Wow!" The house looked absolutely amazing. Basically, there was a tent in the middle of the main room with all their pictures from mixers, and other events. I can't even remember the first girl I talked to, but I felt really comfortable. The second girl was really sweet, I'll call her Sam. I felt so comfortable talking to her and I felt like she was someone I could really be friends with. While walking through the house, I talked to the president and realized that she was my orientation leader in 2006. Then we were lead to couches and watched a video about their philanthropy. I really liked how they stressed how important it was to them. That was my main reason for wanting to join a sorority. Overall, I was really impressed. They completely blew away my expectations.
The next house was Coach. I was so excited to go to this house. Honestly, I already thought I would end up here. I wanted to go in with an open mind, but it's hard. The house looked really nice and all the girls I talked to were really sweet. I felt like they were rushing me really hard. I talked to one girl that I fell in love with. She was really funny and quirky like myself. She showed me around the house and while we were in the presidents room I saw she had a poster of Hairspray(Broadway version), and I told the girl that I absolutely loved the movie. She drug me to the other room to talk to the president. She was so sweet and we found out that we had a lot in common. I talked to another girl that I had a class with last semester and things seemed to be going really well. She was then bumped and another girl took me over to some table to make a craft for their philanthropy. We ended up talking the whole time, so I didn't even make the craft. Then a girl told a story about why their philanthropy touched so much. When I left the house, I left knowing I was a Coach.
After a long break, I went to Dooney & Burke. The girls outfits were extremely cute and the house looked great. The first girl I talked to, talked only about all the parties. I was a little turned off, especially when I had to ask about the philanthropy. I felt like I had to keep the conversation going. The next girl came in as we were talking about philanthropy, so she continued talking about it. I told her how I really like doing community service, but it was hard for me to go out and find it. She told that they had an opening for their service chair and I should think about running. I was extremely uncomfortable when she told me this and just smiled and nodded. Then another girl came up and the girl I was talking to told her that I was interested in the service chair position. I was shocked and again, EXTREMELY uncomfortable. It only got worse. This girl that bumped the other one started bad mouthing the other sororities. She said that “Dooney & Burke wasn’t wild like all the other chapters and they were the normal girls.” So when it was time to leave I was thankful.
The last house to visit was Burberry. Their house was really beautiful, but it wasn’t even decorated. I only talked to one girl the entire time, which I thought was kind of weird. She was really sweet, but I was really intimidated by the house and everything. I was really impressed with the songs they sang at the end, but I knew I did not fit in at all.
Here are my listings at the end of day one:
Coach
Kate Spade
Burberry
Dooney & Burke

I was horrified and talked to my best friend (she was in a sorority at another school and transfered but her chapter isn't on campus), and she was appalled. I'm typing more right now!

Day Two: Skit Day
We could only go to 3 parties this round and Burberry cut me. I honestly wasn’t surprised.
Coach: This was the first house I went to and I was so excited to be back. A lot of girls came up to me and said hello again. I felt really welcome. I talked to a couple girls for awhile and then they did their skit. It was so funny. I had tears in my eyes. I was seated front and center, I don’t know what that means, but I’ve heard they seat people in particular spots. After the skit was over, the chapter advisor came up to me and knew my dad’s girlfriend. She was the sweetest woman in the world. I even felt really comfortable with her. There wasn’t one person that I didn’t enjoy talking to. When I left the house, I still knew I was going to be a Coach.
Dooney & Burke: I did not want to come back to this house at all, but I put on a smile and figured that I would talk to different girls this time. This day was much better, not great, but better. The skit was really cute and the two girls I talked to I liked a lot. I don’t have much to say, but it wasn’t bad. I still knew that I could never see myself here, but I still wanted to give them a chance.
Kate Spade: I was excited to see what the house would look like this time. The day before, they really blew me away. Before rush, I really didn’t see myself here. It was more like they weren’t on my radar, but they kept surprising me. The house looked incredible, it was completely different from the day before. I like the girl I talked to a lot. I felt like I was trying to keep the conversation going. I kept telling her how tired I was and that I felt bad and I didn’t want to seem like I was unhappy to be there. I think she was equally tired too. I loved the skit. During it, they played a rap song that was remade to be about their sorority. The girl was really excited about it and I loved it. After the skit two other girls came up and said my outfit was really cute and that I was wearing one of their colors. All four of us then start talking about this store that I love. Surprisingly, I actually admit that I love High School Musical. They both love it also. I was really surprised and we started laughing like we had known each other forever. This house definitely was moving up in my book.
Rankings after day two:
Coach
Kate Spade
Dooney & Burke

And the drama starts…
Day Three: Preference Day
I wake up, excited to see where I got invited back to only to find out that Coach cut me. Once, I got back to my room…alone, I started tearing up. I thought I fit in there. For a second, I thought about dropping out. I didn’t want to not give the other chapters a chance though. I decided that after pref night, if I didn’t see myself in the two other chapters then I would drop out. I called my dad’s girlfriend (Coach at another school) and started crying. Then I told her that maybe this is how it was suppose to be and I would just have to see what happens. Then I begged her not to call anyone, especially the chapter advisor.
Dooney & Bourke: I was still not looking forward to go to this house. But I still wanted to put my best foot forward. The girl that prefed me had briefly introduced herself during skit day, but I had not gotten a chance to talk to her. We clicked right away and I started tell her how I was torn between chapters and some things had happened that I didn’t expect and I know I was confused. I felt like I was talking in code by not using any of the chapter’s names. She gave me really good advice and told me that the answer really would come to me at the right time and I would just know. All the sudden the answer did just come to me. It was toward the end, I started crying my eyes out, and I am not a crier. I never cry in front of people. I guess that’s what rush does to you. I told her that her chapter wasn’t one I was torn between, but I love her. I told her that I wanted her to know, because I didn’t want to take the spot of a girl that truly wanted to be there. She started crying to and said that she was really glad I told her and glad that she helped me. I swear she was like my personal Rho Gamma. I absolutely loved her and she told me that on bid day to come find her so she knows where I went.
Kate Spade: The house looked amazing again. When I walked in, Sam greeted me and took me to a table. I was really glad that she prefed me. The second I sat down I started crying. I felt like an idiot because I just started babbling that I was tired and didn’t know why I was even crying. She was really sweet and we talked a lot more about how she felt in Kate Spade. She told me that we had a class together last year. I admitted that I remembered but didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to seem like a stalker. One of the members gave a speech that sent the entire room into tears, including me…again. I’ve repeated the story several times and cried every time. Finally, at the end I told Sam that I really felt comfortable there. She told me over and over how she could see me there from day one but didn’t know how I felt. Then I explained how I thought I was going one way, but then realized that I wasn’t being true to myself. When I left the house, she told me that hoped she would get to see me again.
My rankings were:
Kate Spade
Dooney & Bourke
Coach
Burberry
I knew that I wanted to be in Kate Spade. I knew that Dooney & Bourke were not going to offer me a bid, but if they did I would turn it down. I knew that I had almost no chance in being offered a bid by Coach, but that night I felt like I would accept one. By the morning, I had completely changed my mind and knew that if I didn’t get a bid from Kate Spade then I would continue on in my non-Greek college experience.

Can I say, I too am surprised (even though I'm not from Texas or have seen their recruitments) that the ladies didn't decorate their house. That's weird.
I am thrilled that you got Kate Spade! Congrats to you and AXO!!!!
