The only time I will buy expensive lotion is with a prescription for eczema and in that case, it is definitely better.
it's in the brown bottle, right? yeah i had (well, still have) 2 bottles of it before it officially hit shelves (SGRho has some new partnership with Vaseline and were distributed at our last regional conference)

Yeah I grabbed my free bottle and the bottles at the empty seats next to me when I was at regionals!

B&BW's Tahiti, Sweetie lotion is by far the only lotion that hasn't made my legs break out into any weird rashes. It smells great, too. It's (I think) around $15, which is WAY more than I want to pay for lotion, but I guess it's worth it for not breaking out all the time.

Have you tried lotions without fragrance? I have super sensitive skin and eczema and usually can't wear the lotion from places like B&BW because of the fragrance. Lubriderm is what I've used since I was little - it's made for people with sensitive skin.

I'm allergic to a LOT of perfumes, so I thought that was the case as well. However, I've had reactions to non-fragranced lotions as well. I think it's something the lotion(s) were made of, and I'm pretty sure they're present in some other products as well (I've had similar reactions to shaving creams and some body washes).

I'm using this now, and it is good. 'Cheap' lotion (besides Vaseline) is watery & just doesn't do anything for me. I have dry skin, so I need the moisture. I usually use Curel or Aveeno, I guess they're the more expensive ones in the drugstore. I'll pay $6 or $7 for lotion, but that's about it, unless it's from Bath and Body Works or something with a special fragrance.

I like Amazing Grace, Inner grace, and Pure Grace lotions by Philosophy and strawberry and coconut body butters from The Body Shop. I use The Body Shop peppermint foot lotion on my feet and Handmade and/or Time on your Hands cream for my hands by Philosophy. Nivea I'll use only if I've gotten it as a free gift from Ulta.

I'm having the same problems. What do you use to shave with? I am trying to find a good shaving cream/gel that doesn't give me a reaction.

I am very very lable loyal.

Here's what I use.

Night cream, I use power rich by Dermalogical. It's VERY expensive but I use it because I'm older now, I like how it feels etc.

I use the Kiehl's hand lotion. I love it! I don't like scented lotions because I am always rubbing my eyes so I really need to have unscented lotion.

Body lotion -- really the only product I'm not married to because I haven't found the perfect one yet. I have dry skin on my legs and I tried the Aveno for dry skin. I liked it except it had a bit too of a medicinal scent which I didn't quite cared for, but even more, it didn't absorb very well for my skin.

I'm using Gilette's Satin Care for Women in Skin Soothing (the white bottle). Noxema also has one that I liked, but can only find occasionally (Hair minimizing). I've also had success with the Venus Breeze, the only problem being I hate paying $9-10 for three razor blades that don't last that long. However, it is amazing in a small dorm shower.

I have problems with most shave gels/creams, so I use Dove Body Wash instead. Most bodywashes makes good shave lotion.

I use bodywash to shave too. I shave standing up in the shower, and the lathered up shave gel would never stay in place. Because it was so heavy/dense (maybe I was putting too much on?), it would just run down my leg as I was trying to shave. Plus with bodywash, I can wash and shave all in one step.

As for what kind of lotions I use, I like Shiseido for my face. I recently found out that the Aura Science line sold at Victoria's Secret is made by Shiseido. I bought 3 bottles of face lotion at the semi-annual sale ($5 each). As for body lotion, I usually buy whatever's on sale as long as it's a brand I know (i.e. not the no-name watery stuff). I love scented lotions, especially any that smell like food. During the winter, the back of my hands were horribly dry and the only thing that made it better was L'Occitane hand cream.

I love the Clinique Moisture Surge Extra. I brought the tub along with me to rush once, and it was a face-saver for one of my sisters when she had an allergic reaction to something and broke out in hives. Plus, it feels light on my skin.

I use a lot of other lotions for everyday wear (I always carry the B&BW anti-bac lotion in my bag), but when I really have dry skin issues, I go back to the Clinique stuff.
