Change font to symbol then figure out what letter (english) become your greek letters. For DPhiE, it's DFE.

What about us AOL users? I've never been able to figure it out...I even had the little chart at one time for Word but it never worked for me so I tossed it.

Well, I could have said this before, but I usually use the character map to insert Greek letters. Then I just change the font/color/whatever.
The character map is located under Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools
For Vista and 7, just search it in the start menu.
Or you can just use the symbol code: SFE

It's all about using Unicode instead of some weird font:

See? No font tags there. Feel free to copy and paste.

I installed Greek keyboard input for my computer (I have a MacBook) and my iPhone, so I can write Greek organizations' names. but you'll need to learn which keys on your regular keyboard would produce whatever Greek letters you need, since some Greek letters (i.e. Θ and Ξ) do not have an equivalent in our alphabet.
here's a handy "chart" showing which letters to input to produce certain Greek letters using the Greek keyboard software. btw, all Greek letters are capital so I just put the caps lock on for both.

The last post made me think about geting the Greek keyboard on my iPhone... not sure how seaquin installed one, but I took an easy route:
Settings --> General --> Keyboard --> International Keyboards --> turn Greek on
Then whenever you're typing away, hit the little world icon by the spacebar to toggle your international keyboards and you get this. I already had a Portuguese one set up, never thought about a Greek option until now. Awesome.
