Even though I love that I am an ADPi, I must say that I am a little jealous of the potential new members. There is something very exciting about going through rush and knowing the possiblity of what could be. I wish I had the pleasure of rushing where the sororities have houses. I bet that whole experience of rushing and being a member is a blast.

Good luck to you girls.

Petals, I've had relatives in the PSU Greek System since 1915! It's crazy wild and you'll love it!

Surely, we can hope for that azure blue star this year!

smiley, i know what you mean-i loved being a rushee at fsu and getting to see the insides of all the houses. they were all so pretty.

recruitment is my favorite time of the sorority year. i liken it to christmas-the pnm is waiting to open their present under the tree, to see which sorority is wrapped up for them, while the chapter is waiting to open up their present to see which pnms it contains!!

Nope. No sisters. I have one older brother. Maybe it's time to change the screen name!

Rats! One can hope, can't one? (read: All I have is an elder brother, too!)

As my name might imply...I am from the north, and now live in the south. As I graduated from a hospital nursing program, I am not a part of a sorority. ..barely knew much about them until I moved to the south about 10 years ago! What an education that was! I have two older daughters that have already been through rush at SEC schools, with mixed results, and one is still an active.

This happened to my friend's twin daughters. They wanted to finally do something apart so one went to Arizona and one went to Kansas. They both pledged Kappa Alpha Theta. Good thing because they decided after one semester that they could not stand to be apart and the Arizona twin transferred to KU and they were together again! It was kind of cute.

Maybe I'm a little biased...maybe, but thats one of the cutest stories I've ever heard. I told my sister not to feel any pressure that she was a Theta legacy and that if she didn't want to give out that information, she didn't have to. Though, she only has two sororities to chose from, I want her to go where her heart is. Mine lies with Theta, but no matter where she pledges, I will be happy for her.

I'm SOOOOOO exited about this up-coming recruitment season! I think it is partially because my sister is going through, but I am ecstatic EVERY year.

I saw the list for recruitment and recognized a name, my friend's little sister is going through next month. She's a double legacy to a chapter here on campus (and I swear she has other relatives in that same NPC group but not from this chapter), but I am *very* happy to report that she has made a point to look at all chapters equally which makes me even happier to write her a rec than I already was.
