The only time I saw The Palms, I was too young to go in. Now, I feel deprived!
33, the Luna was on the corner, as in, the doorway was on an angle between Centre & N. Craig. The building's still there, but it's not the Luna. And what they're calling the Luna most certainly is NOT "The Luna"!!
I have a friend who was at the Decade when Bruce Springsteen was a nobody! She got to know him (and South Side Johnny), and when they're in her town (her husband was transferred to Switzerland, then San Diego), they actually ask her up on the stage to sing with them!

No, it's still called The Luna, and it's on the same block of N. Craig - across from Chiefs. It's nothing like it used to be, though.

ME TOO. Except there are these three brothers... real brothers. And they are freakin' GOOD. I'm talking scores above 450,000. And they are pretty much the bane of my existence.
Also, I hate it when you don't pick your Photo Hunt partners wisely and you get some novice looking over your shoulder and just touching the screen all willy-nilly and you are trying to be nice because they are your friend but really you just wanna say "Stop f*cking up my game, thanks".

So, instead of just driving through Lexington next time, I should make plans to spend the night?

Myself, I'm personally a dive bar kinda girl...the kind of bar that's darkly lit and has wooden tables and benches (all carved up with peoples' initials and names and dates of bar tours).

I KNOW.
I mean, its like your fratty guys but no girls. Still, Gman still has decent drinks. Pickles is becoming fratty too.
Me, I'm a Players/Club Love person with stops at the Skeller, Mad Mex, Sportscafe, Cafe 210, and the Den.

Yah I am real professional about photohunt too.

When I was in school (which is beginning to seem more and more like eons ago) we mostly frequented People's and Paddy's. People's had [usually] decent live bands W-Sa and pretty good specials each night of the week: Mondays - Tea nights, Tuesdays - Twofers, Wednesdays - mug nights, Friday/Saturday - $1 bottles. Paddy's was a decent hang out and drink kind of place for any night, but the lines would get crazy long on Mug night and weekends.
Sips was the place to go if you wanted to dance and/or hook up. MoJazz was where you went when you wanted to feel a little more hip and metro. Dean's List (now something else) was the nasty dance bar. Lumpy's was where you went for $.25 draws and flooded bathrooms. Cy's had $1 burgers and cheap pitchers on Wednesdays. Micky's had free popcorn, pizza and hotdogs (plus was the Tuesday night VCC hangout. So many good times!) Welch Ave was the old-timers and anti regular bar hangout. Tip Top was the dive bar for 6 am chili and beer before home football games. Whisky River was the downtown, townie bar. Thumbs was where you went if you had a fake and didn't want to worry about Campustown.
Man, I miss those times. I couldn't tell you what the bars are like now.

During school, Beckett's was the place to be. The whole Greek system would be there, and "Last Call at Becketts" was a party all by itself. T's Pub was similar, although a smaller set since, well, they actually checked IDs.

The bad thing is, though, that since they are on top of a hotel they close earlier than other bars due to noise ordinances. And you HAVE to take the elevator down instead of the stairs, which sucks 'cause max occupancy for the elevator is 8 people, so you have to wait FOREVER to get on the elevator. And if you're with a big group of people, you have to wait for each other 'cause you're probably going to get split up. Still a cool place to drink though.

I've been there before! I went there in August, because I was in Charleston for a bachlorette party, and one night we went to that bar ( don't remember the name, but I do remember it was on top of the hotel, and that elevator!!)-we had alot of fun there, but it was super crowded and hot and we did have to wait forever for the elevator!!

The one with the pool??
Those aren't "fratty" bars, those are "high society" bars. :-P
I gotta say, Pavlov's by far is the frattiest bar I've ever been to.
