Hmmmm...
I think it all comes down to the miseducation of people who have become members of XYZ organizations. It is my firm belief that these types of displays by any person that is not a member of our illustrious sisterhood is unacceptable PERIOD! The issue of how you were MADE may be pertinent here as well because it seems to me that people are acting as if they have not been taught anything whatsoever about "her" vision, where it all began and in turn respect for that vision. Why would any member of my organization think this is cute, funny, or just plain alright. Have we forgotten the struggle or were some just never introduced to it? I believe in everything that Alpha Kappa Alpha represents and I will herald and defend it and therefore YES I DO OWN THESE LETTERS! YES I DO OWN THESE COLORS! So dont disrespect them because they are a part of ME!

Frankly,
I am speechless. I haven't seen anything look that bad in a long time. I am sure saying 'you are disgusted' is an understatement.
What are people thinking?

They are still out there. Along with the Future <insert symbols> shirts, baby bibs, etc.

However, I see that as a seperate and unrelated issue.

I thought the issue was folx wearing our symbols who are not in our orgs. So how is it unrelated?

It just so happens to be the topic of discussion at this moment.

Not everyone, just me. So let me clarify-- EYE have bigger fish to fry. That is jmo and my contribution to the discussion.
Also if you reread my post I made the distinction of separating the issue of the greek tribute exchange from the issue of perps, Beauz/Gents, and Miakas. What I was trying to convey was that to ME the latter was more serious than the former. But again that is jmo.

This was on another site and apparently the sorors at
Arkansas State lent their jackets to members of Phi
Beta Sigma to mock them during their annual "Mock Step
Show.

I guess this shows a breakdown among the sororities AND fraternities. Who is responsible? Sorors/members of other orgs allowed their jackets to be used; while fraternity members put the jackets ON!
Who says (nowadays)..."NO, you aren't using mine", "I can't use yours?"
I guess it's a shift we all are experiencing. I guess a change in the PEOPLE, not the organizations.
LOL @ the "f" word!

I see the inappropriate vendor items and the mock shows where folks temporarily exchange letters as unrelated.

i wonder if the sorority members really let them rock their para or if myabe those dudes ordered their own stuff.... some of that para (particularly the Zeta t-shirts) look like they were fitting those big dudes pretty well for a shirt that was borrowed from a female.....
just an observation
