They had different priorities and it's sad because it seems they got married in hopes of being on the same level at some point but it never happened. So he became attracted to a woman who possessed a quality he was looking for-being a mother.
Jen has stated over and over that she wants kids and would love to have within the next year, so I doubt kids are the issue.

Technically, wouldn't becoming attracted to a woman who possessed a quality he liked that allegedly was lacking in his wife (and doesn't Jen want kids anyway?) and then dumping his wife be considered wrecking a home?

For the record, I'd never use the term "homewrecker" on my own because I think it's stupid, as is blaming someone not in a marriage for breaking up said marriage.

I guess we'll all just have to agree to disagree on the whole "homewrecker" thing.

The way I look at it is this: if someone knows that another someone is married and they engage in an intimate relationship with that person, then they are hurting that person's marriage (i.e., wrecking the home). The married person engaging in the adulterous activity is also wrecking the home. They are both guilty. They are both homewreckers.

However, if the unmarried person is unaware that the other person is married, then he/she is not guity. He/she is a victim as is the unwitting spouse.

If a home wasn't built on a good foundation, it was faulty from the start and there's nothing to wreck. I don't think they were truthful from the beginning. Jen may want kids albeit 5 years from now, while Brad wanted them 5 seconds ago. They still aren't on the same level. Unlike compromising on keeping the toilet seat down; compromising on kids, a life-long and life-altering event, isn't that easy. So the marriage was going end.

If the roles were reversed, I doubt there'd be this backlash.

I understand what you're saying, sort of -- but do you think that when people get married, they both know exactly when they're going to want kids? I'm not necessarily pro-marriage, but isn't he being a little bitch if he dumped Jen because he couldn't get the kids he wanted RIGHT NOW THIS VERY SECOND?

I kind of think that the whole Brad/Jen/Angelina thing has become some sort of jacked up symbol to people. All the pure, good-hearted women of America want to relate to poor Jen and it makes them feel better to cry for her and villanize Angelina. I don't really get it. It's like Angelina is the object of every woman's insecurity.

Heh. Truth.

But you have to keep in mind that Angelina was never really well-liked before this (at least not among anyone besides 15-year-old goth girls), and that Jennifer and Brad were one of the most "popular" Hollywood couples -- that only makes it worse. And it probably helps that Jennifer has been pretty gracious across the board.

That said, she's mentioned that she's pretty sick of feeling like "America's victim" and that she's moved on, so I think we all can too -- haha.

Unhappy

Both are egotistical Twits whose Self Importance is underwhelming!

If they were not in movies, they would be a waitress in a Diner and a Mechanic.

As a public figure who constantly has people up in my business, I'd tell you the same thing too if everytime I turned around that was the first question out of your mouth. I mean, I really have to tell you guys the truth because I owe you my life, lol.

No, I don't think people know the exact time and most of the time it's by accident, lol. But should one really be expected to wait on the hopes of "not this year, but next, right after this project, etc"? Maybe Brad felt, like there was always something coming up which delayed it and overall she was a lying b. They've been married since 2000 and per an E show about celebrity breakups they made a nursery in the house they bought. So 4/5 years may not seem that long to us, but it could have been forever to him. He may not have a biological clock like us, but his feelings about being ready for kids shouldn't be disregarded.

I agree with your last statement.

TomKat's baby is a girl and Brangelina's baby is a boy

And they have a baby together? Holy smokes the hollywood gossip there!

No one knows what really caused the Jen/Brad break up. So, unless Brad and Angelina were having an affair (which all three said didn't happen), no one was really the homewrecker.
