Since you think your dog is a better option than the President of the United States, do you personally think that your dog maybe reads better than you do?

I guess that these claims that "Bush was the best person to do the job" and "He is the only candidate I could have faith in" are sort of non-answers to me. WHY was he the best person to do the job? Was he the most intelligent? The best informed? The most capable? The most rational decision-maker? Why was he the only candidate you could put your faith in? Because you shared similar religious beliefs? Because you shared similar moral beliefs?
"He was the best candidate" is a valid reason to vote for someone, but it's not answering the question that people are asking.

Compared to Kerry who appeared more to be a product completely made up of marketing and hype, Bush appeared to at least have the ability to make his own decisions, be predictable on issues, show some consistant leaning on issues, etc.
The reason a lot of us voted for Bush was because Kerry was running against him. Should it have been some better qualified challenger, I don't know if we'd be into the second term.
Democrats need to not be stupid and vote for a candidate in the primary because they have "momentum" which is exactly what seemed to propel Kerry to the finish line.
Not surprising though when you consider some of them would favor a dog to a human for the office... Especially if said dog had momentum.

Enough Democrat analysts and political machines have responded to that loss that it provides for good reading material to anyone who wants to pretend they understand politics.

Thanks!
Told you I couldn't remember. The whole Monica thing was such a "center" profile during the whole impeachment trial.

For me, I felt much more comfortable with Bush running the country than I did with Kerry. I didn't like Kerry's senatorial record to this point, and wouldn't vote for him for that post, let alone for President.
I didn't agree with him on every issue, but I felt Bush was more capable than Kerry or any of the other candidates.

I think I voted for him because I didn't like his wife or the fact that he did so well in French class.

Okay all I did was ask you Bush supporters to tell me why you still support him. That's it!!!
I didn't ask you to go off and say that democrats are stupid!!!
And Rudey, I did know that the whole impeachment wasn't because he had sex with Monica. If you read my post I said that I couldn't remember the exact reasons for it and it had to do with Whitewater and that IMPO I thought they were using the sex thing as an issue.
I'm not asking you to agree with me I'm asking that you respect that it is mine.

I said what I said and I stick by it. I didn't call you stupid by name though darling but I think that perhaps you should read the wonderful stats and facts in this last post you gave and decide whether you should stick to commenting on television shows.

Half of this country is unemployed. Probably 1/4 is working poor. The education system SUCKS!!!!! NCLB is a crock of shit (IMPO). The security sucks at airports because it is not uniform. Gas prices are astronomical. In AZ our gas is costing more than CA. And our president is more interested in a war 5000 miles away and sticking his nose into other peoples businesses. I'm sorry the whole America is everyone's "big brother" mentality needs to go the way of the dinosaur. We need to stop worrying about everyone else and worry about ourselves.
I understand that people will have a different opinion than me and that is fine. But dont' call me stupid because I'm a democrat and respect that this is my opinion.

Rudey, is there a reason you have to demean everyone on this board?
The world doesn't revolve around you or your opinions. And because my opinion differs from you doesn't mean I or any other democrat deserves to be called stupid.
Maybe I should call you and all republicans out there stupid? Oh wait that would make me stoop to your level. As much as I don't agree with your opinion I do respect it. But obviously you can't treat anyone with a difference of an opinion from you with the same amount of respect that some of us treat you.
Again all I did was ask why you support him and I personally don't think the answers given are rock solid answers, but I respect why you voted for him. I'm just glad that come 2008 he will never be in office again. And that is my opinion.

You should learn the difference between fact and opinion.
I don't demean everyone. I didn't mention you.
You can say whatever you want, just like I can.
I don't need to ask people for respect too often.
And finally, the world revolves around me at this moment. It might not in 5 minutes, but scientists have determined that all 8 or 9 planets (Pluto is up for debate on whether it's a planet) have begun their orbit around me. Since this statement requires that I be off the Earth, I am temporarily typing to you from outer space.

The reason why Bush got reelceted was becasue he was for strong moral values (i.e. anti-gay marriage). Something that the conservatives have accused the liberals.
Hello, there are more things that are important than gay marriage. What about saving lives and helping the poor?
