Diet Coke made with real Splenda - Page 3

I am drinking one as I type. I think it is alright, but not as great as I had expected. My favorite diet drink by far is Diet Sun Drop, but I am not sure they even sell that outside of the South. Anyone else know of it? It is the best.

Sun Drop is a store brand right? Do they sell it only at Kroger stores? I think I remember it being like Mt. Dew, but haven't had it in years!

I think that's Citrus Drop that is the Kroger brand. Both Sun Drop and Citrus Drop are Mt. Dew type drinks, though!

Diet Coke and Diet Rite are currently the only colas made with Splenda. Most are made with aspartame.

Aspartame is actually far more harmful according to the tests. It gives me the worst headaches, worse than my migraines.

The new Pepsi One is also made with Splenda according to a commercial I saw last night!

Diet Sunkist Lemonade has 5 calories in it, it's NOT made with Splenda, and it's the absolute BEST diet soda there is. Problem is, it's next to impossible to find.

j/k about the rant... okay, a little kidding... just addicted to Sun Drop! And at 130 cals per 8oz serving... enough sugar to keep your dentist in business for a long long time

So I was at the store tonight and it looks to me like what is now called Coke Zero is traditional Diet Coke and Diet Coke with Splenda is going to become the normal formula. I love the Diet Cherry Vanilla Diet Dr. Pepper and the new Minute Maid Light flavors (Guava Citrus is the best!). I bought the Pepsi One with Splenda and am trying it tonight. Many of my friends swear by it, but I haven't brought myself to try it yet.

Fun fact: Sun Drop is the soda with the most caffeine in it. Yes, even more than Mountain Dew.

Im not fond of aspartame because it turns into formaldihide (a known neurotoxin) at around 82 degrees. Of course, body tempurature is much warmer than that: Hence, all the studies linking this chemical to cancer.

Sun Drop - I agree, it's NOT Mt. Dew, but it's the easiest way to describe it

Mt. Dew "type" of drink, but 1000 times better!

Coke Zero - I saw that today and had no idea what it was. It was right next to the regular Diet Coke, so I couldn't figure out what the difference was.
