Tonight I went to the basketball game with the ladies of Gabrielle. It wasn't really the best atmosphere to get to know people, but I had a really good time. I just felt so at ease with these girls. I loved every single one that I met. They are so sweet and genuine. I really hope that they invite me to another event.

Tomorrow night I'm going back to Bree's house for a karaoke night. That should be really fun. I'll update tomorrow.

Oops! Sorry! I completely forgot to update. Karaoke with Bree was so much fun. I could see how well all of the girls got along and how much fun they are to be around. It was really apparent that there are not any little cliques in this sorority (which apparently is a problem at UGA). I think that I could see myself here.

Monday I have been invited to watch the Bachelorette and have ice cream with Gabrielle and to have Chick-fil-A and go on a house tour with Bree. I think that I am going to go to Gabrielle because they have not had as many events and I would like to get to know them a little bit better. I also went on a house tour at Bree during formal recruitment.

It doesn't say to RSVP, but should I call Bree and let them know that I am unable to attend their event but that I am still interested?

As of now, I am LOVING informal rush. In an ideal world, you would be able to get to know the sororities just as well in the same relaxed environment during formal. I think that I could see myself in either of these groups. I really feel at home with both of them. I'll let you know Monday night how everything goes.

I think that telling Bree that you are interested but unable to attend is a good idea. I would try to just leave it at not being able to attend, however. If they really push it, don't lie to them, but make sure you emphasize that you are just trying to check out all your options.

Oh turning down Chick-Fil-A.....you're breaking my heart!!! I agree that you should call Bree and let them know that you won't be able to make it. You want to let them know that you're still interested instead of leaving them hanging when you don't show up.

Good luck tomorrow!!! I'll think of you while I'm working at Chick-Fil-A and while I'm missing the Bachelorette (well that is until i get home and watch it on the DVR).

absolutely send your regrets. it's the non-tacky thing to do.
it sounds neat though for things going this well.
good luck.
may this be a terrific week.

Sorry it's been a while. I have had an obscene number of tests this week and so I've been studying like crazy. Thank goodness they're all over now.

So I've spent more time at both houses and I think that I know where I belong. Bree is where my heart is. Coming into rush I really thought that I would prefer Gabrielle simply because it is a larger, "more popular" house, but after getting to know the girls, I really love Bree. The girls are amazing and when I'm there I don't feel like I have to put on a show or be something that I'm not. I just feel really comfortable with all of the girls. Also, the girls have really been making an effort throughout the process to email me or send me little notes letting me know how glad they are that I've been coming to their events. I really hope that I get a bid there.

TOMORROW IS BID DAY! I pick up my bid at 9:00 and then I get out of class around noon so I'll be sure to get on ASAP and let y'all know how it goes.

So this morning I went to the greek life office and accepted my bid from Bree! I am so excited. I'm proud to say that I am now a member of...

Alpha Gamma Delta!
Tonight for bid night they've rented out the local Chuckee Cheese for us! I am so excited! I'll let you know later how many girls are in my pledge class and all of those fun things. Thanks for all of your support everyone!
