This is not dissing an organization but I am not in favor of having colors of pink and purple. However, it is all about the organization and like said, colors are just symbolic and window dressing.

She didn't ask what colors you don't like. If so, that would've been appropriate for chitchat, not greek life. She's asking what sorority's colors you don't like. Totally unnecessary negativity that leads to who's GLO is better argument type threads. Which there are a million of and always turn out ugly

I think a lot of the negativity on these threads has to do with immaturity and lack of experience, and is often unintentional. As alums many of us are in our late 20's and beyond. I think back to when I was in undergrad and many of us acted the same way. A lot of it is a developmental issue mixed in with the environment we are in. We just didn't really have the internet back then!! I think that it is good for everyone to step up to the plate and point it out to the undergrads when we see negativity cropping up. Some people are just plain trouble makers too and that also needs to stay off the boards, that is what we can ALL do without. As an aside *again* there are already enough threads about the negativity and stereotypes of Greeklife and individual GLO's as well. Rant over.

I take it you've been to the OPI counter? I want a nail polish naming job.

That is the best damn explanation of the colors pink and blue. Well said.

I will co-sign because I feel this is 110% true.
And while we are speaking about nail polish colors... Sinful nailpolish has some pretty creative names for theirs.

I like royal purple and pure gold. I remember when I was in college, I really liked pink and green so I bought a green sweatshirt with pink letters. I also bought a pink sweatshirt with cute pink teddy bear print letters.

To be completely honest when it comes to colors I do not often wear my sororities colors (King Blue and Gold) unless I am wearing my sorority jacket. I like brighter colors. I am obsessed with pink and baby blue. But a color is just a color, it is the meaning behind the colors that matter. I buy sorority clothing in colors I like. Everyone seems to do that. No biggie. To be honest I appreciate my colors but I don't like them. You don't pick your sorority based on your fav. color. Know what I mean? I hope this doesn't come off wrong...

OPI colors?
My favorite color is "I'm Not Really a Waitress." "Russian to a Party" and "Chicago Champagne Toast" are nice too. I'd never join a sorority with "Up the Amazon Without a Paddle" as their color. Who wants to be without a paddle?

I just remember a color... may not have been Opi... but it was called Fiat. And it was a turquoisy color. I have nail polishes in Japanese Violet and Death. Yup...
